have seen that, though not too often but I've seen a shite ton of O sychophants suggestings the A&M, Florida and even Bma losses were Aranda's fault and saying he is overrated some openly wondering if there may not be better solutions for a defensive coordinator out there.

I've seen numerous O cultists blame Aranda for A&M even though the defense had to score just to tie the game and the defense handed the game to the offense on a silver platter forcing a turnover on downs.
they expect the defense to be perfect so that the offense can be shite.

Turnovers are a result of poor execution by players.

wait.... you think execution isnt a result of coaching in most scenarios?

using your dumbass logic a qb draw can score every time if the players execute and win their 1 on 1 battle.

its amazing how offensive execution isnt a direct reflection of coaching like it was under the last regime.

just another example of rank hypocrisy by the O cult

we had the best sec season in 60 years and then fired a coach because we were no longer winning titles of any kind because he was underachieving given how much talent we had.

So you are ready to make excuses for this year already? Otherwise your post makes no sense.

His post makes perfect sense regardless of his other opinions. He is accurately pointing out that you are trying to establish a narrative of “O must reach the playoffs this year or he is not a good enough coach to do so.” Is that not exactly what you are doing?

There will be only two open spots after Bama and Clemson

I love how people start with assumptions like this. I could throw in Ohio State and Georgia, and say that there are actually zero spots remaining.

IS it exactly what I'm doing? Would you care to back that up with a quote?

As soon as Orgeron started demanding an extension his cronies on this board started pushing Aranda as the sacrificial lamb for last seasons losses.

I don’t see how he could be blamed for Bama (we scored 0) or Aggie (he was thin on DBs), but Aranda got outcoached by Mullen. We lost because they were running sweeps in the fourth quarter, picking up critical first downs, in which their blockers badly outnumbered our defenders.

So in this scenario, the toss dive was the perfect play all the time, provided our players would have just executed their assignments? Huh...

To think we blamed Miles and his incompetent views on offense on why we had such a lack luster offense all those years.

Did you miss the offense turn the ball over 3 times? We could have put that game away early. Blaming Aranda for that loss is just silly.

Why do,you write this crap. Making the playoff out of Bamas division in the SEC west is a Hail Mary. We have much better talent and depth We have a suspect offensive line.

We have lost to Bama and Florida because of getting beat badly on the line of,scrimmage. Not skill positions. Other than hope what has happened to improve our offensive line? What has happened to our defensive line that is going to reduce the 596 yard blow out by Bama.

Anyway. Hopeful on both fronts. But this kind of stuff is ridiculous

What on earth is this rambling lunacy.

LSU including Aranda has not recruited D lineman. Especially a nose tackle for several years. Finally have supposedly 2.

Aranda got out schemed by Mullen now about three times. Our defense looked like crap against TAM. If the defense can stop the run in the 4th Quarter we beat Florida. Whatever.

Aranda cannot act like an NFL defensive coordinator. He is responsible for recruiting depth and talent.

Anyway. Very optimistic about 2019

I am just saying a lot of people on here get wild with expectations because they look at how loaded we are but fail to realize that at least 3-5 teams we play will be similarly loaded. That said, I have my highest expectations for this team since 2013...

Then what's the point of this entire endeavor if we're already talking about this being an almost certainty that we'll never be better than SECW Runner-up?

Why is it this was not the narrative a few years ago, when BAMA was still in as dominant a position? No one was content to talk about expecting to win the SECW was too much to ask of this program.

Can you define this? Surely you don't mean having expectations for a program in the position that LSU is in? Is it just that you think the expectations ought to be lower? If so, what do you consider to be reasonable expectations for LSU's program given everything we have at our disposal?

It's so cute how you people lay every bit of blame at the feet of the guy who has been holding the program together the last 3 years

What if your boss had a no excuses policy? Where would you be then, sonny boy?

Show me a person that makes $4M a year and I can pretty much guarantee that their boss demands results and doesn't want to hear about excuses or even tolerate them. Everyone makes mistakes, but if someone is getting paid that much money, they can't make very many before they get fired.

O said in his press conference that he knows the expectations and invites them or something close to that. I'm sure he knows that if we don't win the West and get curb stomped by Bama again that his seat is going to get awfully warm. But, if that was our only loss and we got into the playoff, them that's a different deal. Captain Obvious would tell everyone that if we make the playoff his seat doesn't warm up no matter what the record is.

Hugh Freeze beat Saban.
Kevin Sumlin beat Saban.

At what point are we going to stop being afraid of Bama? This is Saban's 4th DC of his tenure at Bama and his 5th OC. At some point that lack of continuity takes its toll. Meanwhile LSU returns its OC and DC, and 16 starters.
