Aranda could have left, but he stayed. You talk shite and hope that it's true. Just because you hate O, don't go around crying about everything and talking shite. Maybe one day you will be important enough for someone to care what you do.
The OP is still technically correct. The elite DC just signed on to take Orgeron's job.

Aranda is smarter than you. He's staying for a reason
If it was the dumpster fire you goddamned women think it is, he would have left. It's still elite, ArNda will help keep it that way

Arguably the best one in CFB turned down the most lucrative contract for a coordinator ever just to stay here. O must be doing something right.
I can’t tell if this is a pro-O thread or not. Why would Aranda go be the DC at TAMU where they just locked up a legit head coach? He can just stay here as DC for one more year and then be the HC at LSU. You know damn well that’s likely what got him to stay here.
“Dave.. just deal with O for one more year and we’ll give you the keys to this MFer”

Head coach in waiting doesn't happen when your current head coach has a bright future.

You people are so butthurt about not getting Herman you're looking past the obvious. LSUs next coach is already on staff.
Orgeron salary and buyout were never enough to suggest he's the long term future of the program.

Did I miss something? When did his designation change?

It's kind of hard for him to give it a rest when people are attacking him. The fact is, there was a very significant risk that Aranda was going to go to A&M. It wasn't a "rumor". The negotiations were confirmed and there were Aggies on the board gloating. Securing Aranda would have made them much stronger and it would have crippled us.
It showed just how weak the strategy was of hiring a figurehead coach and "the best coordinators money can buy" if someone can poach away your only remaining elite coordinator. This, while the figurehead coach was in the process of firing his OC, who was believed to be one of the best OCs in the game.
Therefore, the concern was understandable and totally justifiable. I know you all know that, too. Your response, for whatever reason - homerism, financial connection, whatever - is simply to mock and deride those concerned.
The only way the present strategy works out in the long run is if Alleva now realizes Aranda is the key to long-term stability and O is, at best, a temporary stop-gap. O also needs to be able to manage talented, big-ego coordinators and not react in an emotional, threatened way during stressful times. I blame him for the Canada misunderstanding.
Let's also hope that Alleva and O are now sober enough to properly handle to OC position. After this, it better not be Ensminger or paying some nobody over $1M/yr to put a worse product on the field.

I’ll believe it when I see it. HCIW Tag is a mostly thing of the past.

He has a contract longer than the head coach.

Fill us in on what transpired and why the blame lands at O's feet, oh mighty one.

This is 100% false. The OP is absolutely NOT technically correct. How is Aranda assured of O's job? Hack.

Alleva had to step in and manage the situation, rumors of a fight, confirmation that O and Canada never made up. O has to manage that better. That's literally all he is hired to do - set his coordinators up to succeed because he can't do it himself.
So, enlighten me as to why you think this is Canada's fault and what is your evidence?

, once again, Aranda has a longer contract than the head coach. Feel free to spin that as a good thing for Orgeron's future if you'd like.

correct me if I'm wrong, but O has a 5 year deal (4 years left) and Aranda now has a fresh 4 year deal.
Posted on 1/3/18 at 11:01 pm to Manswers
WHY would you ask for evidence when you just gave what you acknowledge to be rumors? You don’t even know if they are true. You don’t know which person mishandled the situation, if either did at all.
