He doesn’t need to play. fricks our secondary depth but i can’t blame him. He’s investing in himself.

Lots of guys invest in themselves and play in their team's bowl game, even if they are slated to be a high pick in the draft. Hopefully the rumor isn't true and Greedy honors his commitment to his teammates and himself for this season.

Yeah the years he gave his all to LSU and all the plays he made to keep us in and win games. What a shitty person

Well, if we lose the Arkansas or Rice game, we probably arent playing for the championship. So yea, there is a difference.

What were our chances to get in the playoffs after the Alabama game? 5%?

We had something like a 40% chance to win out and then we needed all kinds of help even if we did win out. Face it. Those games were nearly as "meaningless" as this bowl game.

And say, by some miracle, we did get in the playoffs. What would our chances of beating Alabama have been? 10%? And then, by divine intervention, we beat Alabama. What are our chances in the championship game? 30%?

Add it all up and we had probably a >1% chance at winning the championship after the Alabama game. Why should a future first round draft pick risk his future for that low of a chance at winning it all?

NY6 is not a meaningless bowl. Now every other bowl game I would agree.

, I don't get how any college football fan can say bowl games are meaningless, nonetheless, I don't fault him for sitting out if that's what he wants to do. I mean I wish all our players were gung-ho for LSU but I guess he's doing what he feels he has to do for whatever reason. I will say he gave his all for LSU the last couple seasons and for that I thank him, just wish he would do it for one more game. Actually wish he would do it for one more season

Give another player valuable playing time. Greedy won’t be here next season anyway so I guess that’s one positive. Backup gets an opportunity.

Yeah I have a feeling LSU is.going to get their arses handed to them in the bowl game. Especially if it's the fiesta. Our secondary will get destroyed.

LSU housed him, fed him, clothed him, provided medical care for him, and gave him a free education for the past 3 years to PLAY football, that was the deal. Not to mention developing him into a first round prospect. Getting injured is just a risk you take when playing football.

wasnt he ejected from A&M game? if so then he could only play the second half anyway, so why risk injury when you arent even able to play half of it?

Let's just skip bowl games from now on then.

Who amongst the posters on this board are going to step up and offer him millions if he's injured in our bowl game, you know, to replace the possible millions he could lose?

Stop being short-sighted and acting like it's unheard of for players to miss meaningless bowl games. There are players every year that opt to forego playing in their teams bowl games. If missing 1 game negates all he's done for LSU, then HELL YEA he's made the right decision to skip out on it. Our fans are plain silly!

Or we could just overreact and pretend that every situation is the same.

Greedy is a binaries top 10 pick. He comes from that a family that is not well off. He has nothing to gain in a bowl game and everything to lose. I hope he plays but won’t blme him if he doesn’t.

If 3 of our 4 starters in the secondary are out, then I hope we draw UCF and their backup QB as our bowl opponent. If we face Michigan, Shea Patterson is gonna pick us apart.

Yet another reason why we need to ditch Ensminger. We won't be scoring many points with his garbage offense.
