Moscona sounds like an idiot discussing this. Says Fargas took over a program which went to 5 Final 4s, which wrong Van did that. Says to get Mulkey who he says makes 2.2. Is he not paying attention to the money crunch going on around her? Think they're blowing money on quadrupling the investment into a women's basketball coach. Then he says Mulkey will never be Geno or Pat until she wins somewhere else, which is weird since both of those only won at one place.

What about Tyler Summit? Maybe he’s past banging players.

Based on the recent USA Today story he's living the easy life. Retired in scandal at 25 but set for life.

Part of making hires is taking a risk. People saw Nikki as young and energetic coach with promise based off her short stint at UCLA and coaching along Summitt for years.

Agreed, I thought she was a slam dunk hire and exactly what the program needed....that feeling wore off the second season

Does she know she will actually have to work in the private sector?

Wtf

Van took over and things decayed after Pokey's players left. Nikki came in and did well with Van's kids although the talent shriveled up since then outside that one year when we had Pointer, Mitchell, Moncrief and Chloe Jackson.

Not following the Kim comment, how many coaches have 3 national titles with over 10+ conference titles? It took the Stanford coach 3 decades to finally get natty number 3 despite having ridiculously talented teams over the years.

Summitt had said he will no longer coach professionally. He receives more than $173,000 a year as the beneficiary of his mother's state pension.

If we are going through that thought process, you might as well bring Pokey back on

IF/WHEN all the 'schrill-shrieking' title 9'ers like you, fully recognize/admit where ALL their own funding originates from and just how IMPORTANT it is....then you just might get a little more 'support' !

She definitely lost some fire somewhere along the way.

I think it was when she started a family. Some people keep that competitive fire after having kids, and some don't. Can't say either way is wrong either. Each person is different. I think the fact that she is leaving coaching is telling though. She just doesn't love the game like she did at one point.

Let's see how much money girls basketball has pulled in versus their expenditures before making a judgment.

This is the best news I've heard all week. At the time she was hired many of us thought it was a home run hire, and she did well those first three seasons.............................but after that its been nothing but mediocrity, on top of the fact that she's a HORRIBLE recruiter. I still don't understand why.

Well shite, I wish she would have stepped down a week ago. Vandy just made a home run hire with Shea Ralph, the UConn assistant and we missed out.

Doesn't the timing seem odd? Nikki just brought in 2 good transfers and convinced Khayla to stay.

Test #1 for Woodward

As long as he doesn’t overpay he passes the test.

Zero reason to invest in this program.

Was LSU gonna play 4 posts and Pointer next year?

Newby isn't a very good scorer (which is part of our problem) but the Alabama girl actually finishes much more regularly at the rim than Aifuwa.

I have no clue on how great the freshmen class coming in is but given Nikki's recruiting track record, I wasn't exactly counting on much.
