I assumed Cotton was going to be our go to guy at closer. He was beast last year

According to the article he could be out from 3 weeks to 3 months. Damn.

Well that's not good. Thats a hit to the bullpen. My guess would be LeMarche closing now.

Hope it's not serious and more of the 3 week variety. I had high hopes for him this season. On the positive side, our bullpen should be deep so we can absorb the blow.

im thinking cotton. i think PM said something about lemarche needing to better his location. and i saw him walk the leadoff hitter in the 9th tonight and then throw a wild pitch. that certainly didnt help.

i mean oblique strain keeping you out for 3 months? that sounds pretty unlikely. maybe if you are magnus ver magnusson and you tried to pick up 9 kegs at once. without knowing anything about the severity, my guess is more like 3 weeks.

Ouch...did not know that. I have no doubt Cotton can handle the job, but we take a hit in middle relief with Cotton closing.

I think they'd prefer him to be the first guy out of the pen who can enter the game in a jam and go 2-3 innings if needed.

Which is exactly why I hope someone else can step up. He is first out the pen on Friday nights.

Looks like he'll be back for SEC play, not too worried.
