I agree. Just take the knee and get the hell out of there. Or run the score up and kick the field goal and punch the ball in and win with authority. I’ve been calling on customers in Alabama, the panhandle and South Georgia and the first thing people ask me is why did we struggle with Arkansas. Just another reason for other schools to negative recruit on us because our offense pretty much sucks! Lots of talent yet we still suck. Not worried about the gamblers but the inability to whip that sorry arse team into oblivion is poor coaching on the offensive side of the ball.
And for the rest of you defending not punching it in we dropped in the polls and when the rankings come out tomorrow we will drop. Idiots!

The idea that it was the right football play makes no sense. Making an effort to kneel down on the 1 yard line in traffic rather than just falling forward over the Endzone? He was more likely to fumble on the first scenario

With all due respect to Brossette, I don't particularly care if he cares about gamblers. I don't care about their bets, either. I care that LSU put up a pretty lousy performance against a bad team, when they are precariously perched just ahead of three one loss teams who could easily jump them with that type of performance.
That touchdown could have helped preserve a better image for the committee to look at.

The slide wasnt stupid, running two more plays after that was stupid only being up one score. Anything other than a kneel down after the slide is taking a chance at a turnover and them tieing the game...that was the stupid part.

He should give a flying eph about knowing something about gambling. If you are one win away from winning that much money there is no reason you should not have 1/3-1/2 of your potential winnings on the other side with a hedge. Guaranteed $5k-9k on a $267 parlay. That guy is an idiot if he didn’t hedge, assuming it ever happened.

You take the touchdown and the optics of a 14 point win over a hapless Arkansas team. Sliding and consequently not taking a knee, only to try and actually score later makes no sense and reeks of the lack of a “plan” at the end of the game.
