WBRZ article
Video shows the inside northbound lane is done. I doubt they continue anymore construction unless they work the next 24 hours nonstop to get another lane rolling, probably the inside southbound lane to avoid bigger traffic issues.
It's going to rain after Wednesday all the way into labor day, so they won't be able to lay asphalt down. Very unlikely we get another lane done before Nicholls.

Both northbound lanes were done this morning.

Born & raised in BR, and graduated LSU in 1972. Took to the skies with the USAF and never lived there again.
Just returned from attending my sister's funeral last week.
Traffic and road design in BR is the "SEVENTH LEVEL OF HELL!"
How do you guys stand it?

Speaking of Nicholson and Alerts, I remember this gem along Nicholson near the Sheriff’s Association building…..

What else would you expect in Louisiana?
Absolutely!
Everything is horrible in Louisiana except for Football and Food!
I was born, raised and lived in the State for the majority of my Life, but the "Quality of Life" in East Central Florida is so overwhelmingly superior, it's like living on another planet.
I don't even miss going to LSU football games anymore because of the asinine "Circus" atmosphere that the LSUAD has insanely installed in PIMger Stadium...........

Dunno, that stretch in Orange TX has gone on longer than any project in Louisiana
In their defense, they have replaced an often flooded 4 lane grass median interstate with a 6 lane concrete divided interstate from downtown Houston to the state line in thirty years. And the section between Beaumont and Louisiana is on a substrate the consistency of mee-maws kitchen sponge.
That said. THIRTY years.

You know, it's really "helpful" to LSU so many of you out-of-state fans to continually badmouth Louisiana at every turn.
As someone who has lived both in Texass and in suburban ATL, I will take Baton Rouge to either place. In fact, BR is a great place to live as an old, retired person.

I drive it every day going to work. One side is done except for the striping and is fine.

I love Baton Rouge in the sense that my favorite school and alma mater are there. It was great to me.
I will also say that I have lived in the Houston area for nearly 11 years now and I would much prefer driving in Houston than in Baton Rouge.

Football, Food, and the People/Culture. People will downvote but you are correct.
