Yes, we won so many games last year with Hannibal playing the 1.
Don't you recall last year when after the Arkansas game every SEC team just sagged off of him and into the lane because he has no outside shot?

He wasn't even the starting PG. Juice Hill was. Juice Hill was terrible, and so was Adam Miller. Guard play has been abysmal under MM.
Again, I'm not acting like Trae is the answer or an amazing player. I simply think he's the best out of the 3 guards we currently have.
I would love to even see MM have Tyrell bring the ball up more. Mike Williams is not the answer, and its idiotic to have Stewart play off ball when he was a ball dominant guard at Santa Clara. Mike Williams was more of a combo guard in HS, and played off the ball quite well. I thought naturally that Carlos would be the 1 and Mike the 2. But McMahon thinks otherwise lmao.
Hell even if you don't like Trae I think Carlos would still be a better option than Mike, something we can probably agree on. He's not being utilized properly as the 2 guard. He doesn't do much in games, and that's mostly due to McMahon not utilizing him properly. This was seen last year when he tried forcing Cam Hayes to be a wing, and Fountain to be a center. It's being shown this year with running Williams at point. He simply is unaware of the strengths of his players and tries forcing them into roles they're not meant to be.

I’m planning on this being the biggest epic slide into basketball mediocrity that nightmares are made of. This is going to be an embarrassingly bad season and bad coaching tenure.

I missed the game what did we do so different in the second half? According to the box score it seems we played elite defense in the second half.

No adjustments were made in terms of scheme imo. Still played terrible defense. We caught up in rebounding, largely due to them missing shots. They were still open on a large amount of threes, but simply failed to convert.
Offensively speaking we shot a little better but allowed other players to see the court and start scoring. Baker didn't play, he was a turnover machine in the first half.

It might have been close a few years ago when it was scheduled but canceled because of covid. That was a bad lsu team. Nicholls had the A&M all but beat but refs bailed them out.
