Because the book is out on him. Leave the changeup at the bottom of the zone alone and look fastball/change at the belt. He seems to leave at least 1 up every AB and he doesn't have the velocity to sneak the FB by a hitter that is sitting on the change.

I think so, but we have the depth to allow other guys to get ABs without pushing him too hard.

It's different than last year with Dickinson playing the whole postseason with a broken hamate.
