It’s been speculated for a while by most reasonable people that no changes would happen until after the bowl game. I was downvoted heavily for making that statement a month ago.

Saban hired both of his coordinators in February last year. I know, I know.. it's Saban, but after the bowl games are typically when coordinator changes happen.

The entire concept of a portal window is ridiculous anyway.
All the player has to do is say they are entering the portal when the next window opens. That has the exact same affect as entering the portal.
