Actually folks on here are very opinionated about Lindsey Scott. They thought he could be great here. But he hasn’t approached Trey Quinn LSU fan obsession. LSU fans annointed Quinn unfairly - not Quinn’s fault, and probably wasnt very helpful for him to deal with while playing here.

Double edit: how the hell does fournette, pat peterson, and Guice even get compared with quinn? Trey transfered.
you completely missed my point -- which was made in response to an idiot who said we care about Quinn because he's white.

I said no, we love Badger, LF, Peterson, etc too.... and they're (gasp) black.

It has zero to do with race. That was my sole point. Not that Quinn was as good as those guys.

apples and oranges. Lindsey Scott never even played. Quinn started and had a good freshman season -- until the Bama drops. And then immediately, he was done.

That severe change by the coaching staff is what makes Quinn's case so interesting. That, and the fact that he transferred and caught a million passes.

Lindsey Scott never played. But if he lights it up at Missouri (and we all hope he does) it will make another very interesting story about talent that we had on campus but we let get away.

Lindsey scott wishes this board loved him as much as Trey Quinn (actually he probably doesnt give a shite). No comparison

You still dont get that the comparison is not being made with those players dude. They dont qualify for the discussion. Theyre LSU alltime greats you moron. And all 4 of them stayed with LSU through for their college football, and never played at another school.

Of course you love those players, theyre some of LSU’s best. Do you obsess over Willie Allen, and all the other TRANSFERS which is the point.

Quinn had drop issues throughout the year. He was just that year's Great White Hope, so certain people decided (and still decide) to ignore them to prop him up, until the Bama debacle made it impossible to ignore.

Who started and played most of the bowl game at wr that year? The two who transferred out Quinn and Diarse. I almost felt like Miles was trying to get them to stay because he knew they were both leaving.

still missing my point.

And for the record, I also closely followed Diarse, Jennings, and Harris after they transferred. Also Stephen Rivers.

Quinn had one singular drop his freshman season. You are free to go look up the stats

This is why I am a Quinn fan. Because I know from experience how terrible lsu fans are. And I will support south LA kids who come here and get run off

Up until the Bama game, he had 16 receptions for 190 yards (11.9 yard avg). And he showed a lot of quickness on the field. The guy could've been a weapon, but the Bama drops sealed his fate.

But again, NONE of this is about race. I also thought John Diarse was a weapon that Les didn't use correctly and I was sad he transferred - and yes, I paid attention to him at TCU.

It was the Bama DROP

Not drops

And after the drop, we punted and then recovered a fumble inside the 5 yard line....

So don't let the retarded fans on here fool you. It didn't have a negative outcome on the game

Likely, that is why he had the lowest drop pct for all eligible receivers in the NCAA last year.

Best hands in College football no doubt, best of luck to a former Tiger and hope he has a great NFL career.
