I think it's a pretty apt comparison as far as playmaking goes. Certainly not similar in size so hard to say that TM will have that type of impact at the next level, but TM is one of the best college defensive playmakers in SEC history.

2) Copeland at FB. Maybe I'm just being a homer but would you trade him for any of those 5 shown? Just asking because I'm not familiar with the others.

Copeland has 2 more years, FBs don't declare early

they probably don't realize that he could come out.

My sister knows him from Parkview, and he will be leaving as soon as he's able.

Junior punters don't get drafted. Only about 2 seniors every year do. It'd be a mistake for him to leave early.

I'm glad Sonic Sam gets another chance to make that fat frick quit this year.

Supposedly Jones switched to center for this season, so it will be Logan/Downs/Freak/Ego giving him fits, not Sam.

I disagree with Sam listed as a LB. However, KeKe was brought in as a LB prospect when he first came to LSU. He never has been able to bulk up to a prototypical DE size, but his speed rush is unrivaled.

Man we really need to get the younger guys some reps in 2012 for us to maintain the dominance in 2013!

I saw an article that said that Simon was a better corner back than Claiborne was this year statically. If he can improve on his Pass catching ability, I think he will get drafted higher than Reid and that is not a knock on Reid.
BTW can anyone find that article? I looked with no success.

Why not? Polamalu never did in college what TM7 has done.

If one were good enough to leave early, he'd get drafted. The NFL doesn't give a shite how old a punter is.

I know a punter went in the 3rd round this year, but that's pretty rare. Chances are Wing will have to make a team as an UDFA when ever he comes out.

Both are prob rush OLBs in 3-4 defense

Neither big enough to play DE In nfl

Exactly, both are really perfect size for OLB in a 3-4.

People should take note when saying Nkmidiche would be better off in a 4-3 in college

Sam is definitely a 3-4 OLB and will probably play strong side. I would love the cowboys to take him or Mingo. Mingo is going to be a pass rusher extraordinaire and may end up being a more dominant pro than Sam.

Sam has better game all around and stopping the run, but Mingo is the better pressure player.

the list is for the 2013 draft. Regardless, it's impressive.

And all of those listed will have a year remaining, will they not?

Sam reminds me of a simeon rice type, he can def play de at the next level. The diff was rice actually played lb for illinois.

Just looked it up, rice measured in the combine at 6 4 259 4.76 40. He was drafted 3rd overall.
