That's a band aid type situation. Really sad sometimes kids get pressured or bad advice that hurts them later in life.

The keep getting the horrible and incorrect advice of getting to the 2nd contract. The reality is that the average NFL career is only 3 years. You need to maximize your initial contract.

I remember seeing an interview he did while he was at LSU and he talked about his love for animals. He said how he was going to buy exotic animals in the future. I bet he got humbled real quick. Lol

..yea I think he fu*cked himself out of a good situatio

Some of these guys only go to school to prepare to make money in the NFL. They don't care about an education. So staying eligible is to difficult beyond their Jr. year. MHO.

Someone will pick up Minter. He has 191 tackles and 5 sacks in 44 starts and 70 total games.

Other than Freak with 22 NFL games, none of the others ever really did much.

I am surprised freak played as long as he did in the NFL.
Man was that guy hyped coming out of high school.

Minter I figured was a lock to make the team .

There are only 1696 football players in the nfl on the 53 man roster. And every college football team in d-1 has 85 players on scholly. That’s over 250000 players thinking they will be in that 1696 one day and just over 6000 of them will audition every year. These numbers are scary especially when sonsidering most at a power 5 are there for their football degree

Surely we offered him more than $40,000 to stay.
