in the NFL?

What QB do you think he is better than in the NFL?

The NFC South has Drew Brees, Cam Newton, Matt Ryan, and Josh Freeman as the QB's.

They are both good average QB's.

They each had their good to average games in their LSU careers, but their inconsistent play from start to finish in those careers pretty much put both in the mediocre range. imo

Our passing offense ranked #102 after Oregon, #98 after WVU, #99 after Auburn, #100 after Arkansas, #106 at season end, #107 at the end of 2010, and #100 at the end of 2009.

Hopefully, Mett can help get our passing offense in at least the 60ies. With that and continued good D/ST's play, we will have another elite football season.

I thank both SR QB's for their efforts and wish them well in the future.

Why does a guy who wants a former LSU player to do well make you sick? Every LSU player who does well in the NFL only helps LSU. Recruits want to go to the NFL. We can put you in the NFL.

He's JaMarcus Russell without the talent and without the craving of pasta.

This talk about opening up the Off. doesnt make sense to me, it was open enough to get us to 9-0

it was enough to get us to 13-0, but it wasn't enough to get us to 14-0. What works against teams that we have more talent than isn't going to work against teams that have equal or superior talent to us. Fortunately not many teams fit in that catagory, but one big ugly red one to the east does. To beat the best we are going to have to change up this offense which means opening it up a little. Hell even Alabama opens it up a little these days. They threw the ball down field often on first downs last season.

Jefferson is the worst college qb I have ever seen. He may have some nice practices, but it very rarely translated to anything worthwhile on the field. He cannot read defenses, lead receivers, hit open spots, run an option pitch, manage a game clock, or know when to unload the ball under pressure. He had moments but they were not the norm. And he always thought he played very well (see his postgame commenta after every game) and mostly blamed others for offensive issues.

Maybe he will put it together for a professional league but - because of the above and the everlasting debate on him vs lee - I am glad to be moving on in 2012.

yeah JJ is awesome at throwing to uncovered guys with no rush. Too bad the NFL has defenses or he'd be set.

Kind of like that annual Manning Passing Academy praise. It never panned out.

At his worst, yes. At his best? He was serviceable. He has a decent upside, just doesn't achieve it often. He will get a F/A or late round shot at some position.
