I don't think so, especially without Kiel coming.
Someone on the rant claimed he converted already, but I just couldn't see that considering the depth chart.

Well I hope you're right and he takes a roster spot for an NFC south team other than the saints

Lol, I'm pretty sure he will take whatever opportunity is given to him

willie, I think Mett will make you see how bad both QBs were.
if Mett is as good as advertised he will be a lot better than good average

even if mett doesnt live up to his hype he is still a legit sec caliber qb which is a step up from the lee/jj level.
JL/JJ were SEC caliber QB's. But we do need to open up the offense a good bit more especially on early downs and I think this is the change to the offense we will see this coming season.

wow
early in the SEC CG we had a chance at an 80 yard touchdown bomb and it was underthrown by about 20 yards. Is that opening up the offense? Was the offense opened up when JL was throwing downfield against WVU, Auburn, and Florida?

You'll have to excuse boxcar Willie.
He's retarded.

according to a recent Kragz interview, no.

jj and lee were more like sunbelt qbs or such than actual sec qbs.

I agree TigerBait, and I have said it before..
This talk about opening up the Off. doesnt make sense to me, it was open enough to get us to 9-0, JL made some good throws and executed a decent passing game. JJ never did last season. Once a pass play is called, its on the qb to make his reads and throw the ball.
I do think Mett will give us additional Off. fire power, but we wont (and shouldnt) change our Off. to a pass first Off.

Any hope for Armand Williams progression?
Don't know the answer to your question but he's listed at 6-03 and was a former LA high-jump champ. Would fill the need for a big receiver.
