My son said 2 West Georgia (DII) players whom he played with got drafted, one in the 5th the other in the 6th. This makes no sence Malachi is still available.

Perhaps future players with borderline draft grades will see this and stay in school to improve their draft position their Senior year.

I will show my ignorance with this question. Is it better to be a Free Agent than to be drafted in 6th or 7th, rounds?
It seems at least you have a little more control where you go as a free agent. Just not sure abvout the money.

Sorry if this has been discussed because I have not researched all the threads.

you could make a team and renegotiate a year earlier. There no guarantee though like being drafted.

Both godchaux and dupre got some bad info as far as their draft stock was concerned. You have to believe that they would have stayed at lsu having known how this played out for them. It's a shame some of the bullshite these agents and others fill their heads with. However, at the end of the day, it's their decision and they have to use wisdom in making possible career/life changing decisions. I could have told you that malachi wasn't going to make it in the first 4 rounds because his body of work just isn't there. He underwhelmed at LSU tbh and had an opportunity to have a senior season that could have launched his career.

Godchaux to Dolphins (5th round, 35th pick, 178th overall)

I understand he wanted to be in the NFL. Just wish he would have stayed longer

I doubt Goudchaux will see much playing time playing behind Suh and Jordan Phillips.

Some players don't care what they hear. They just want to go pro and have had their minds made up and no matter what happens or they are told it isn't changing.
