Unless the defense vanishes, we have another excellent season
I expect the defense to be weaker next year. We don't have the DT depth that we need.
This year, we had some serious struggles early on. People figuring out what to do. I think that's past, and next season I will put our scoring bar a lot higher. I honestly think the following- that 20 points we put against Arky yesterday, that will be what we consider a struggle next season. As in, Bama might hold us to around 20; Florida might hold us around 20. "Sputtering" would be maybe 10 points per half. "Expected" would be somewhere in the mid-30's for the game.
Mett to Beckham and Landry will be just too damn dangerous to totally cover; Hill should be even better as he comes into the season experienced and in football shape; people like Ware and Ford will be too determined to make impacts in their last season.
So the defense that was required to hold teams around 10 pts this year, that margin will go up. 7 points against Florida would have lost this year, 17 against them next year should win.
Just my opinion

If we lose Mingo, Montgomery, Reid, Minter, Simon.. and maybe others like a lot of people are saying, then this may be a rare year where the offense is ahead of the defense and we will really need to rely on the offense to win us games.
We have talented replacements on defense. They would just have to get ready.
I think we will be fine on defense, we won't be the top team in teh country as far as defense goes, but we aren't going to go to mediocre because of the players we are losing. I still think top 10 defense, our depth on defense is so great that we will reload not rebuild.

Same ol play calling
This. Next year will be more of the same. Plenty of dive plays and running into an 8 or 9-man defensive front. We get into the red zone and immediately start running a goal line offense. The Warecat is useless and needs to be scrapped, unless Miles is gonna let Ware actually throw a pass at some point. Remember the great tight end play against Ole Miss? It disappeared against Arky, as we all knew it would. It's almost as if our coaches will repeatedly run plays that don't work, but as soon as we find something that does work, it gets scrapped.
