We wont even make it past the melt over who plays in the SECCG when it gets picked by the REC in BHAM.
By the end of next season we will be demanding the return to divisions in the SEC.

There will be enough blemishes at 12 and 13 to make me not care. To punish FSU because the fricking committee thinks they cant win is complete bullshite

It will never be this controversial, but there will be the occasional drama.
Yep. And right now is not as controversial as the BCS debacle of 2003, and the BCS era was not as controversial as pre-1998 when there was no championship game at all. Its all relative. This year, the best team in college football will be determined and it is not like half the country will be claiming its Florida State.

It’s like everyone is forgetting this is the point.
You are pissing on the regular reason to expand this playoff and it’s already shifting to it a team should be included rather on who are the best title teams. You already have folks crying that 12 isn’t enough, we need 16!
All you are gonna see in the first round is 11-12 get curb stomped by 3-4 every year, but hey, we got in, right?

Don't score 49 at Ole Miss and lose. You avoid controversy

There will still be controversy, but no one is gonna care if a three loss team doesn’t get it.

Does that mean LSU could make the tourney?

No. 12 absolutely got screwed. No. 11 media darlings are fools gold!!!
The difference is teams like Georgia, Ohio St and FSU could legitimately win the title if given a chance. Whoever is #13 will be a 9-3 team with no legitimate claim to being a contender.

No, but I guarantee you there will be a fair number of people claiming Georgia or Ohio St are.

That’s what I said it should have been eight. No team below eight would win a NC

Alabama is never missing a playoff again under the new format. They would have to go 8-4.
Alabama will be the first 8-4 playoff team

11 & 12 won’t play 3 & 4. They’ll play 5 & 6.

The 12th spot goes to the highest ranked G5 team. Really only 11 spots to compete for when you’re adding the top ranked G5 team.

We have controversies before March Madness over who gets the 64th spot.
So yeah definitely.
So yeah definitely.

I would say it will be similar because of the combining of conferences. Out of conference games will matter more. I think the controversy will also shift to teams that lost their conference championships vs teams who didn’t go. Like Iowa and Louisville this year dropping out for playing one more game. vs a Missouri/ole miss/oklahoma/penn st.

Yeah, look at this year, would Missouri deserve to be in and we left out even know we beat them?
