im not saying we HAVE to win a title or HAVE to beat alabama but the offense absolutely has no excuses to not be FAR better than they were this year.

every offensive lineman is returning except Brumfeld, it has depth and experience two deep, and a pretty good dude name Kardell is arriving.

the QB is returning and has shown toughness, skill, and intelligence.

im pretty sure EVERY wide receiver is returning and they are some studs.

if the offense isn't in the top 1/3 of the SEC steve ensminger must be replaced.

EDIT: for the record if it was up to me Ensminger wouldnt be our coordinator next year. It appears that isn't going to be the case, which is why im assuming he will be here next year. No more excuses after next season.

You are generous. I knew this was a bad hire from day 1.

I don't dislike the guy, but for LSU's sake, I hope it's on someone else. I'm still hoping he voluntarily steps down back to TE. Remember, he didn't want to be a coordinator anyway.

They will be, he has better tools to work with now. But you can keep your glorious melt going, it’s pathetic and sad, but entertaining.

I still contest that Orgeron is the bigger issue here. I'm not saying Ensminger is some offensive genius, but I think he proved this season that he could scheme up a good gameplan and call a good game. Orgeron though, the man is so damn conservative. He plays not to lose. We saw it all season, the offense would show signs of life then they would just go into a hole and play this conservative brand of football.

It won’t be, so what’s the point of waiting thru another mediocre offensive year?

Do you really think magically Ensminger is going to be the answer?

The guy had two shots at Bama. Zero points.
He had our offense 100+ in the nation.
Good programs don’t keep OC’s around like that.
Might not like it, but it’s the truth.

There is no more excuses for laying a goose egg on bama. Unacceptable after what I saw last night.

I agree, but not for the reasons you outlined.

All Ensminger showed was that the analysts on staff are really good at scripting the first few drives, after that, play calling was shite all season long.

You can point to UCF all you want, but the fact is they are the equivalent of Troy. We out talented them by a mile.

If you take out 7 OTs and the bowl game, this offense was piss poor all season long.

??? If O is conservative, what was Miles? Our offense is opening up as fast as our players can assimilate. What games are you watching?

We won every game we went conservative. IF anything being too aggressive cost us the Florida game but won us the Georgia game. Being too aggressive kept UCF in the game late in the second quarter. Had the ball with 3 min left in half and never once ran the ball. Gave UCF the ball back and they scored a TD. Being conservative isn't always a bad thing. If the Atlanta Falcons would have been conservative in that super bowl they win the game.

I don’t buy this shite one bit. Are you saying our players are significantly less intelligent than other teams? Because plenty of other talented teams have changed from power to spread concepts *caugh* Alabama and Florida *caugh* with great success in year one

Oh really? aTm says hello. Miami getting back in the game says hello. kicking field goals in the red zone against UCF allowed them to make the game look competitive.

Going conservative and not getting first downs cost us Florida. Conservative Offense has its place and that place is up two or more scores 1/3 of the way through the 4th

Don’t break your arm patting yourself on the back with that extrapolation. Trashy and juvenile.

Changing Philosophy adding more spread and heavy on audibles take some time to adjust.

Self righteous frickstain.

Had the lead against A&M is less than a minute left. Gotta get the stop. Hell we got the stop and then the refs allowed A&M to spike the ball with under 3 seconds left. Ball was actually still in center hand with 1 second on the clock. FGs in redzone against UCF were more penalties fault than getting conservative. Being aggressive late 2nd quarter gave them 7 points. The early fumble against Florida being too aggressive allowed Florida back in the game. Instead of going up 14-0 or 10-0 the game ends up tied 7-7. We won the Miami game and when you go up 20+ you go conservative. That's just good coaching.

Teams change offensive philosophies all the time and many times offensive output increases in year one. You want tot tell me it took time for Burrow to get the system and gel with teammates? Yup I agree. He only had a few weeks.

Everyone else? Bull shite. They had all spring, summer, and fall camp. If you can’t jnstall an offense in that time, you are either a terrible teacher or your offense is too complex.

And where am I being self-righteous? All I said is I don’t buy our players not being able to pick up simple concepts/verbiage that may be different than the precious regime.

An example of a team that did the same and went from ranked 25th to 6th in the polls in one season?

... I’ll wait...

Prepare to be disappointed again.

With a good OC calling plays, next season could be really special. I'm sure Ensminger is a great guy and he bleeds purple and gold, but he's just not a good OC and we'll see that again in 2019.
