Vic Viloria - C - Seminoles
Football Scoop reports that LSU has interviewed former FSU strength coach Vic Viloria.

Presumably, Viloria would serve in the same capacity as strength coach if he's hired by LSU. Football Scoop passes along that there is a "strong possibility" that he ends up with the Tigers. Viloria had been with FSU for the past eight seasons, but was not retained by new Seminoles HC Willie Taggart when Taggart was brought on to replace Jimbo Fisher earlier this winter.

He is a Louisiana native, which certainly shouldn’t hurt his popularity among the LSU faithful.

He's one of us yawl.

Viloria was an assistant on Moffit's national champion LSU team.

After this shite era is over, I don't want LSU to hire another Louisiana native for a while

Well, I mean that shouldn't be one of the main qualifications. If they are qualified, then you can hire them

Taggart only hires strength coaches that give players rhabdomyolysis.

you're a dumbass then. Viloria is a damn good strength coach. So you don't want Corey Raymond on staff? Bama just hired their DC from LA.

Sounds familiar

Tomahawk Nation suggested that Florida State would hire a disciple of LSU strength and conditioning coach Tommy Moffit, if they could not steal Moffit himself away from the Tigers.

Vic and Bama's strength coach, Scott Cochran played HS Football together at John Curtis. And both learned under Moffitt. Vic is a good coach and good hire. He will likely be Moffitt's successor.

No, just checking in on your hypocrisy or bandwagonism - whichever you are practicing today.

You want the WBB coach fired after 6 years but applaud the gymnastics coach who was on the job for over 40 years before sniffing an SEC title.

You don't want to hire any coaches from Louisiana but applaud the gymnastics coach who was on the job for over 40 years before sniffing an SEC title and just so happens to be from Louisiana.

Having a coach from LA isn’t an issue, the issue is when that’s his ONLY qualification (Orgeron)

“After this shite era is over, I don't want LSU to hire another Louisiana native for a while”.

Not sure why, but this made me laugh. I do sometimes feel that we Louisiana folk are great soldiers that need a detail oriented general to keep us organized and focused. We are always all over the damn place as evidenced by this site.

I’m still optimistic though. We’ll know soon enough.

LOL

DD>Nikki

I don't know how you can anyone can dispute that

Nikki never has her teams ranked in the top 25 nationally. I wouldn't bitch if Nikki had her teams ranked nationally and competitive with elite programs. That isn't the case.

So you think Nikki is fine?

She was not far removed from a coach who led us to 5 final fours, and now, two programs way below LSU before sped past us and are ranked in the top 10. LSU sits in the same position, unranked and middle of the pack SEC

What had DD done after her first six years on the job? First 10 years? First 20 years? First 30 years? First 40 years?

I am just pointing out your hypocrisy in belittling other coaches while propping up the one coach who should have been fired decades ago if going by your standards that you hold the others to.

Are you seriously comparing the support/facilities for these two sports over those time spans?

Women's Basketball was a force when Pokey was here & has WAY more support than DD had up until about 10 years ago.
