I think much of the problem is that there appear to be no speakers anywhere but the north. Because of that, the sound shoots across the stadium and then bounces of the new south deck. This was obvious during warm-ups when Dan came on the test of the system, and you could follow his voice from north to south and then back to north as it bounced around.
I'm hoping there ARE speakers in the new deck but that they were malfunctioning. Otherwise, this is the new normal.
I came to post the same thing. I sat in the new upper deck, the music was not loud (maybe a good thing for some people), and sounded like one of your speakers is out in your car and all of the sound is coming from one point.

Yeah, had a hard time in lower E with the PA, couldn't hear Sat night in DV intro.
But definitely an awesome addition and venue!

I was in 103 as well and it was bad. Could not hear PA announcements, etc. And it was clear that the only sound was coming from the NEZ, no speakers/audio coming from south at all.

I thought the away fans no longer would sit in the bottom bowl?
sec mandates a certain number in bowl, 1500 I think or so
We just always had a lot more than required

Acoustics need tweeking for sure, the speakers in the stadium club seemed to be going in and out when the band played or for announcements. Couldn't hear a word of the microbiologist girl. I also agree about the graphics for the tigers in the NFL. I really liked the time lapse they played of the end zone construction and it looks impressive in person.
The band played the OH WE OH chant with only mild "you suck" coming from the students.
We stayed till the end of the game and had no issues with traffic going home. Enjoyed the game, it's great to be back in the stadium!

Said the same thing on the scoreboard last night. The audio is still terrible and has been since the south endzone speakers were removed. No amount of power is gonna overcome that distance so we can hear it in the south sections, without blowing out the north side of the stadium. Unless they put speakers in the south endzone somewhere.

The lower bowl visitors sections seemed to be reduced by several hundred seats. I think the required 1500 is all that's left down there now.

I just said that, it was reduced by more than a thousand

The first few events at the new Cowboys Stadium sounded like Mud until adjustments were made.
It didn't help. The problem is all that glass. It vibrates and just causes all kinds of acoustical problems. There is ultrasonic wave tehnology that can be used, but Jera' refuses to spend the money.

Section 408, row 4 sounded awesome
414 too. I'm sure they will tweak it to sound better all over.

It was fine in my suite. Air condition was a bit chilly though.
Motherfrickers stirred my martini when I explicitly stated it should be shaken. STIRRED!!!!! Heads will roll.

They didn't need bigger speakers in one end zone. They need to add speakers all around the stadium and turn down the volume.

I felt the same way ... I could see the team but had no idea who the former Tiger was; I gave up trying to read that shite.
And the sound is terrible. Like terrible terrible.

You want great acoustics go to Carnegie Hall! It's a damn football game!
And some fans would like to hear what the announcer is announcing and what the video is saying ... no reverb, no echo would be awesome.

I never understood a single word Borne spoke last night. Sitting in SEZ. No PA at all would be an improvement from what we have now.

I'm not sure Danley Sound Labs is to blame TBH. They designed and adjusted the system before the SEZ was done. You need to complain to LSU Admin so they can get Danley back in to adjust positioning and maybe treat certain areas with acoustic panels - to absorb the waves and cut down on echo.
