Is Jacksonville state an HBCU? If so, I'd be disappointed if I held season tickets.

Lsu hasnt been bringing full band to sec road games in several years anyway.

Alleva was just going to make up a false rape accusation against the opposing Band to get his way but then realized that didn't work out for him last time.

Really sad. One of the unique things in college football is seeing the other school's traditions (bands). Shame people won't get to watch Texas A&M, Notre Dame or a host of other bands.
I know it got us (Northwestern State) some good exposure when our band played in Tiger Stadium.
Very short-sighted decision that helps no one.

Waiting for LSU's band to play then trying to play over them right after they start playing. Then staying in the stands and playing for far longer than any other band in the SEC after the game. (Yeah I know LSU should try winning and that would stop).
After the 14 game the Gump Band stayed for at least 30 minutes after the game was over and chanted "Landon Collins." The stadium had long since been completely empty.

What? This has to be a joke. If not, it's going to come back to bite LSU - hard. Is there anyone with brains and common sense left at LSU? I suspect they're trying to get rid of the LSU band.

So some of you don't want the opposing band on the field at all, we get it. But it sucks for current future members of TGBFTL because they will not get to have the experience of performing in other SEC venues. I know one of my fondest memories being a member from '93-97 was full band trip to Alabama in '93 (the "when pigs fly" game), proudly performing at halftime and then marching out of that stadium head held high because we just punked their arse, that's something I will never forget...and the comraderie and friendships made as a byproduct of some of those road trips

Do y'all like watching LSU's band at away games?
That will be a thing of the past, if this policy remains.
I really don't care.

next up is that opposing cheerleaders will be banned and the large amount of LSU home cheerleaders will be cut in half

Once again, LSU is not prohibiting an opposing school's band from attending the game. It's true it will result in more pep bands in Tiger Stadium, but that's fine with me. I can't stand when opposing bands wait until Tiger Band starts to play before they que up their music. If other schools want to follow with similar bans, it won't affect us much since we only send the full band to one road game every season.

They are hoping that other schools will catch on to this. Cheap LSU won't have to pay for 350 band members, staff meals, hotel, etc. It's a way to save money.

Wouldn't a reasonable accommodation to be at least let a traveling band perform on the field pre-game - give them a set time to be off so the GBFTL can get set up for their pre-game, but FFS what kind of rubes say, "frick your band" to opposing teams?

Just tell the public the REAL reason you don't want a full band to come to the games.
This.
I couldn't care less about opposing school's bands. But don't insult my intelligence by telling me that it's suddenly a "safety issue" when it hasn't been one for nearly a century.

Didn't TM7 get shoved into the band at the end of his punt return against Arky? It's probably but the only reason, but still a reason and a good one for PR.
