Proximity won’t play much of a role. What will pop up are watching parties in the city for those who can’t get a ticket. It’s Mardi Gras like for a few days.

Definitely expand your map on hotels.

Lawrence-Burrow shootout

Kind of like the Fromm-Burrow shootout. People seem to forget what Aranda did to Lamar Jackson.

As for hotels, I’ve noticed the Airbnb prices around NOLA for that weekend are much better compared to the hotel prices, especially if you have a 2-3 couples coming along.

Is the Marigny too sketchy?

Tell me more about these restaurants on the lake where the locals eat....

Check prices and availability in Metairie or Kenner. Would be much closer to the airport in either.

The airport is in Kenner - on New Orleans property. Everything downtown is tourist driven, restaurants, hotels, bars. You should try to get to the lakefront for one meal and eat where the locals do.

Are you saying there is no good local food in NOLA or around the French quarter?

It has been said the committies would rather other teams come to NO because hotels arn't as full. There are two nice new Hotels on the Wst Bamk righr at the foot of the bridge. Mariott Courtyard is one. Cant remember the other. Quick Uber ride to anywhere.

My nephew has a beautiful AirBnB off of Esplanade Avenue near the Fairgrounds race track, walking distance to: Liuzza's by the Track (bar), Cafe Degas for dining and Canseco's grocery.

Sleeps 6. 3 BR, 3 1/2 BA. 2300 sq. ft.

Just did a mock booking and it's $2,056 for 4 nights. If there are 3 couples in your group and you shared this duplex, it's reasonably priced. Averages out to $171 and some change per night per couple.

Easy Uber/Lyft to/from the French Quarter.

Grand Rte St John AirBnB

No. That's a great spot. Better bars there than the Quarter.

Don't get me wrong... a wrong turn, or a couple of blocks in the wrong direction at 2 a.m., by yourself, could get interesting, but otherwise you'll be fine.

If you're in town long enough, check out the WWII Museum.

To the downvoter. Please GTFOH and GFY.

This house was a peek-a-boo house totally renovated from the floors, roof and walls. The contractors did an amazing job.
Wish I still had pictures from the renovation. Most of the roof was gone as was the flooring, porch and walls.

A group of 6 people would rather stay in a house with lots of space vs. a 300 sq. ft hotel room.

Went foe 2003, 2007, and 2011 if you want to go and have a blast, get a hotel in the quarter, everything’s in walking distance. In 2011 had to book 3 days, it was a marathon but FUN (even though the game stunk) My advice: go big

You’re going to want to stay in Desire. There are several very nice hotels there, reasonably close to the Dome, and, heck, it’s not called Desire for nothing.

In what universe is BR an hour away from NO? And have you noticed the I-10 traffic delays in BR and LaPlace???
Maybe you are commuting by helicopter.

I can stomach the price, it is what it is. They're all non-refundable though. I think LSU will win but I'm not so confident to go ahead and throw $1500 betting on it.
