Well then they shouldn't go to any big time program bc coaching attrition happens at every program in America especially the big ones. It's a business, I love what K Vincent said best, I committed to a school not a coach and that's how you should approach it, if not you will be very disappointed. GT

This exactly.

So what schools are boycotting Bama since Sark is leaving, what about the kids that committed to play for him?

What about UF who got rid of their DB coach this weekend and already had his replacement by that afternoon?

Arky fired their D LINE coach.

What about Auburn or Tennessee they fired coaches today. Do they get a boycott?

You can't say that Sark just up and decide idea he was leaving today, it's been in the works. Same with UF as they already had the DB replacement lined up.

Coaches come and go and it will never end, these HS coaches need to be careful because I'm sure a bunch of them would like to get to the next level and rocking the boat won't help

If these coaches turn their backs to LSU, the powers that be should pull some State $$$ from these schools, if possible. Alternatively, the Athletic Dept, if allowed, should make nice contributions to the athletic budgets of the biggest rivals of these schools.

I seriously don't understand the issue. It can't be about race. He hired two new African American coaches. And it can't be about connections to New Orleans either. What is the issue here? It's pretty typical for a new head coach to hire new coordinators and position coaches. The bigger story is how many of the coaches remained on staff. Am I missing something? This seems ridiculous.

It's simple. Those coaches are mad because their buddy was reassigned, he wasn't even fired.

They are trying to flex the muscle they believe they have.

In-state (which is what I said), it couldn't have been much worse. We lost nearly every guy we wanted in Louisiana.

I hear you. That seems like all it can be. That's just so irrational that it's a little hard to accept.

what does this all mean?

It almost sounds like these H.S. coaches have the attitude that their players are their personal property.

Jabaar Juluke and David Johnson were both St Aug guys and had so many ties across Nola public schools that they coached at. Most of the supposed coaches that were boycotting felt Juluke, their guy, didn't get a fair shake when demoted. David Johnson, another one of their guys, didn't get the job. A lot easier to get out in front and say you rejected it to save face with current employer (Memphis).

Most of these boycotting coaches played for Nola public schools in the late 80s and 90s. At the same time, the Joseph family was very prominent in Nola high school football. They were always in news bc they went on to play in college and have made a name in coaching now. People still hold animosity towards them because not many in Nola can ever get past high school. And here you get Mickey Joseph replacing and getting the job over their guys.

I would demand that these coaches give specific reasons for doing this. It can't be just that O let him go because he is black because he just hired 2 more black coaches and had another black coach turn him down.

I hear this and I think of one or more of these coaches are in bed with other programs especially with Bama and want to be liked by those schools more than the flagship school so much so that they would start something like this in spite. Or they are encouraged by these other schools to do this.

Sounds like you're tuned into the HS football scene in NOLA. Why wouldn't David Johnson come onboard at LSU? It seems like he declined our offer. If he has all the ties as you've described it seemed like it would have been a win-win.

He was my first pick and disappointed he's not coming.

Heard it had to do with an input in offense. Not sure if he was ever formally offered.

People underestimate the personable relationships that Les Miles created with the entire state of Louisiana. He did a tremendous job with all coaches and I feel they feel betrayed now. This thread is reminiscent of February 1965 vice modern times. The speculation and perceptions from this board is nerve racking. Logging off this Shiite until the Louisiana Civil and Racial War is over. It's 2017 people, racism only exist because you idiots carry it on in boards like this.

Racist, huh?

Guess we didn't see who replaced Craig and Juluke?

Doesn't seem racially motivated to me

I said one of the worst, not the worst.

You can fire someone timely like Orgeron has, while also not pissing off coaches
