Real easy fix: have Juluke call them up and explain that he is still employed at LSU and what his role will be in the future.

other than Devonta Smith, all of the other recruits they missed on were well before NSD

What? I'm pretty sure the Tigers held out hope for several others,as well.

Even if the decision was made earlier, a coach is under no obligation to inform recruits. It would be stupid.

Now, if they blatantly told recruits no one would be reassigned, that's another issue. Jalike, wasn't fired.

Not telling could easily been seen as the same as lying

Robert royal might have been the last. They produce some good college players..if speedy and gerald would have stayed on the Right path they would be nfl bound no doubt

Now we lost almost all of the best players in the state in this signing class and New Orleans coaches are pissed and threatening to boycott?

Honestly, our recruiting in Louisiana can't get much worse than it was this year, so maybe this won't make much difference. It certainly can't help, though.

For a new head coach Orgeron had an incredible recruiting class. An almost unheard level for a first year coach. Part of this is that he was able to maintain continuity going from interim to full time head coach. But still, you are losing a lot of credibility by criticizing this class that he just brought in and saying that he couldn't have done much worse. Your complaint is pretty delusional.

but this doesn't change the fact that if the kids were lied to, its reasonable to be angry about it

They aren't angry about the kids. They are angry about Juluke.

That's why they sat on this info until Juluke was hired by TT. Orgeron and LSU had the decency to guarantee juluke a salary in the event he couldn't find a job. That's basically severance. Once he found another job, then they lashed out.

If they were making the case that a recruit or two wanted a release because a major reason they signed with LSU was the Juluke, they'd at least have a logical point. That's not what's going on.

In recruiting? Not remotely. The business is shady as hell, not disclosing future possible staff moves is in no way shady.
