I don’t think the mascot “Tigers” is in any danger. They may eventually take away the “fighting” part, because of its ties to the Civil War. Under Tate, the university will most certainly remove any remaining ties to the Confederacy. All references to the Ole War Skule will disappear as well as certain traditions that may be deemed “offensive” to particular groups, such as the Chinese Bandits chant at football games. Greeks will be forced to be more “inclusive and diverse”.
