No. That isn’t a serious question.

They have money for upgrades.
Yes, it is. I'm not surprised the logic eludes you based on your posting history.

If there is "money for upgrades" just sitting around, what is your theory why the athletic department hasn't already added chair backs for Alex Box? Do you think Mainieri and the AD's office think the bleacher bench seats are " just mah-velous, simply mah-velous"??

Wrong. You are saying LSU doesn’t have the money because they only made 300k. But it’s one of the only schools that turns a profit from baseball. So how do other schools have seatbacks?

That’s what is being debated here. It’s not that they can’t, it’s that they don’t want to.

Do you know that there isn’t money just sitting around?

They had 8 mil profit last year, 16 mil the year before that. Where is it going?

If you really don't know the answer to your question, then you're even less informed than I thought you were.

And that's really saying something because I've always thought you're clueless to start with.

How much would chairbacks cost to do it right?

There you go, keep making personal attacks.

You are claiming that LSU can’t make upgrades to the baseball facility without raising ticket prices. That’s patently false. And your reasoning is that LSU baseball ONLY makes 300k.

Is that your argument in a nutshell or would you like to clarify?

I personally don't like to sit in the chair backs because I'm 6'3. My legs need space. Plus every time I sit in the greens or golds I sit by a dude that is pushing 400

Damn. You didn’t know? Every university in the country mainly orofits off football and uses that athletic surplus for these things. I’m sure. $5 bump in ticket prices on top of allocating funds from other sources and sports would suffice.

That’s patently false.

I said the way the athletic department funded the building cost of the new Alex Box Stadium was to impose a required TAF "contribution" on the season ticket holders who sit in the grandstand.

Logically, that same approach would be taken to fund improvements to the outfield bleacher seating. And that would cost those season ticket holders more for their new and improved seats.

The "personal attack" is an observation I've made about you from your posting history. The truth hurts.

Prove how much you know about the recent baseball facilities improvements: where did the funding come from to build the new workout/endurance facility building which is attached to the existing batting cages building?

If you answer, from the "profits" the athletic department or baseball program makes, you would be WRONG.

Which would be a 100% increase in price for some of the baseball games.

For example, the La Tech and UNO games 'face value' prices were $5.00 as were most of the other mid-week games.

SEC games' face value prices ranged from $9 to $15.

TAF “contributions”

All I’m saying is just because it’s been done this way to build a stadium doesn’t mean it has to be this way to have seatbacks

I answered your question. Now explain why that is the only way to get seat backs.

Those chairbacks behind the plate don't seem to be enough to put fans in the seats...

Looks terrible on tv.

TAF “contributions”
You only get partial credit for your guess.

Not just any “TAF contributors.” Alleva told Mainieri over two years ago he would approve building a new workout facility but Mainieri would have to raise the $1.2-$1.5 million to pay for it.

So Mainieri met with his largest baseball donors, including me, to raise the funding by creating new “memorial” plaques along the fences honoring players who starred for LSU since the new stadium was built. He was asking for a $25,000 contribution from each of us to sponsor a plaque and we would have our names on the player’s plaque we sponsored.

Mainieri worked his arse off raising the money to improve the baseball program.

Because you guessed and were only partially correct, gfy.

Ok so the point of this was to tell us you bought a plaque. Thanks for your contribution.

My argument is that it isn’t necessary for you to buy a plaque in order for us to get seat backs. Prove me wrong.

Yet somehow- someway the rest of the SEC figured out a way to use some of the millions they rake in from the SECN to build a stadium with cool shite in it. At LSU however, the school that literally made college baseball what it is today, we need a private donor to not have high school bleachers.
You see, the problem is that they already built chairbacks for the only people they have a damn about when they built the ballpark. The new box is a scam
