I've said it before, and it's an unpopular opinion, but I would GLADLY give up the "STTDB" phrase to get Neck back. Just wish there were more people who agreed.

Student Section gonna Student Section. As long as the grown men sitting behind me aren't singing it, I say we play Neck and let the kids be kids. It will never go away. Drunk students in the south will cuss. We all need to get over it.

I just want the stadium all doing the hand thing and the band playing the song cause its a sick beat. Could give a shite about yelling "STTDB"

They should get rid of the student section all together.
How dare a bunch of drunk 18-21 year olds be loud and vulgar at a college football game!
Replace the band as well. Just pipe in contemporary rap music. Good, clean, fun.

And there's the problem. At that moment, I imagine the band director was just as frustrated as you are. Neck=STTDB, All of the Lights=STTDB, Mt Crushmore=STTDB. You can disagree with them but the school has decided that chants urging fellatio on a tiger is just something they can't promote or encourage. As result you get quiet where the band should be followed by "Yeah, Yeah, come on Tigers!! Get Loud!! AHHHHHHHH!!!"

What's the point of being vulgar? Is it just to get a laugh from saying "bad words" out loud like a bunch of 6 year olds?
Honestly, I wouldn't care about STTDB if it was actually funny or clever. But it's neither. Hell, at least the "bullshite" chant after a bad call is situationally appropriate.

Neck sounds too good and looks too cool for it to be ruined by some immature kids that think it's fun to say a bad word. I was a student from 2010-2014 and was there during the days of neck and will admit I did at one point yell STTDB after neck. But I stopped when I realized the band was hesitant to play it and emails from the LSU administration asked students to stop. The Chinese Bandits worship is probably the coolest thing during a LSU football game and is something I dearly look forward to after a big 4th down stand. The next best thing is everyone vibing to neck, even the old people get into it which is awesome. Grow up and we get the song back.

I'm nothing close to a snowflake. And a "bad" word is ok. For example, yelling "bullshite" after a bad call is fine with me.
But STTDB? Come on, that's over-the-top and really hard to justify, if you have one ounce of maturity.
