Any update on the Galva? Last I went out there in early November it was still locked up

Manchac Prairie Access

Posted by Neckk on 11/3/21 at 11:46 am
Is the prairie accessible through the first canal? Satellite images looks like they have some sort of boom or barrier blocking right as the cut enters the prairie. I heard the Galva is not currently accessible as flotant has completely blocked it. I'm heading out tomorrow to scout so if I someone could tell me before I make a 7 mile run it would be appreciated.

Hunting non-WMA state land

Anyone know the regulations/laws around hunting non-WMA /NWR state claimed land; specifically bayous and lakes? Additionally what about putting a houseboat on a public bayou?

Sherburne WMA

Anyone know how high most of the water is on Sherburne? Going to do a last minute scout before bow season and I have never been before. I plan on using my pirogue in the bayous and getting away from all the roads. When I look at the topo on OnX the areas I am looking at are the marsh/swamp/wetlands symbol, just wondering how much water I should plan on walking through when I get out the boat.

Deer Hunting Joyce WMA

Anyone familiar with Joyce WMA? Wanting to do some scouting at the end of the season and become familiar with the area for next year. I have never hunted in the swamp before and wanted see beginner tips for this area. I have read some of the older threads and Maurepas and Joyce but want as much information before heading out as possible.

I've seen a hoist and gambrel at Tunica Hills WMA by the camp site. Haven't seen one at any other WMA's though. I bought this tripod hoist recently. Uses quick clips and can be taken down and put back up in about 3 minutes. LINK
How durable is it, as in how long/ how many deer have you cleaned with it?

Public deer cleaning stations

Does anyone know of public deer cleaning stations? I have only hunted private land at a camp in MS (that had its own skinning rack and am unfamiliar if LA has public places to hang a deer and skin it out. Wanted to start deer hunting some LA WMAs next year. Specifically looking in SE LA
A football game can be wild without 20,000 people saying suck a dick in unison. Not all people were meant to reproduce looks like you found a drunk prom date and got lucky.
so you want your kid hearing STTDB?
Just makes us look uneducated and trashy, so you're endorsing that?
Neck sounds too good and looks too cool for it to be ruined by some immature kids that think it's fun to say a bad word. I was a student from 2010-2014 and was there during the days of neck and will admit I did at one point yell STTDB after neck. But I stopped when I realized the band was hesitant to play it and emails from the LSU administration asked students to stop. The Chinese Bandits worship is probably the coolest thing during a LSU football game and is something I dearly look forward to after a big 4th down stand. The next best thing is everyone vibing to neck, even the old people get into it which is awesome. Grow up and we get the song back.
Yes the history of this rivalry in the last decade has led the game to be extremely close and usually be decided by a touchdown or less. But this LSU team is not the same as it has been in previous years. As previous posted, LSU usually does get up for big games regardless of who is coaching them so don't be shocked if it comes down to a last possession again. The much more likely is Bama gets up big early and never lets their foot off the gas and LSU won't be able to make up the deficit; Bama cruises. With that said, I'll take the +24 today. It will end up being somewhere around -17 Bama.
