Tell me why you think the program will start to slip in a couple of years please.

Then why didn't Al? You're a typical idealigue - you see them on the fringe of both parties - who demonize his opponents. There is no evidence that Gore is smart and Bush is dumb. But you yo-yos in the fever swamps of the left are always insulting the intelligence of the leaders of the opposition. You did it with Reagan, too. It's a sign of arrested adolescence.

He is the best coach LSU has ever had. It seems that we as a group are NEVER going to be happy with the man that we have as coach. Charlie Mac had haters. Saban had haters. And CLM has way more haters than he should have.
I always wonder who people are thinking is a sure thing better choice than CLM.

cond best coach in LSU history. I love the guy, but only an idiot thinks he's better than Saban was. Records be damned. Saban took the program from mediocrity to greatness. Miles maintained it at excellent.

If saban had not gone to bama you wouldn't be saying that.

Les Miles doesn't have a split title. He will come close or own the record for most wins in LSU history. Miles is better at LSU than saban was.

Honestly, look at the other top programs, why did UF suck after Spurrier and Meyer? USC after Carroll, Texas after brown, OSU after tressel? because it isn't that easy to maintain success. Bama is going to suck after saban, why? because they won't have Les Miles.

Les brought Oklahoma state out of non existence. where winning 4 games was a good season for them.

like George W being ridiculed by the media
Bad analogy. Bush deserved the ridicule and more for the wars and economy tanking.

Les - Like every year, winning stifles dissent. Still not determined is why he is the best recruiter and the worst game day coach. Every coach makes a bad choice or a wrong decision or screws up the clock or his timeouts at some time in the season. It is just a question of how many he makes as to his final grade.

You, Penrod are fearlessly stupid.
How you could catapult to these silly conclusions is amazing.
And, BTW, nobody in their right minds would put either Gore or Bush on the "fringes" of either party.

Notwithstanding GPA's, Gore is a very bright man.
W. is a good man, but not a smart one.
Nor was he a good President.
Les M is likely smarter than W.

I feel that the desire to win is really there. He has the chance to play for victory against quality opponents every week and that is what he is going to go out there and do. We have a really quality coach in his desire is there and every down is the desire to produce a quality play.

Yep!

It takes a hell of a lot more effort to maintain a great program especially with the direction college football is heading now.

For miles to do for so long is great!

I wish this board was made during the hallman and dinardo years
