Decent season, and the only thing that upsets me, really, is that we didn’t win the regional. We were never getting out of Supers, and anyone who thinks that, isn’t being really honest. We never had Starting pitching, we had the worst fielding stats in the SEC. C’mon!!! If we had won this regional, it would have been an amazing year, and we lost it by one run, that’s decent for this teams defensive capabilities. Now on to rebuilding this team’s arms, and we have Crews another year…..

Honestly... half of LSU's pitchers wouldn't start at ANY college in LA... including LA College in Pineville.

The total mass of mistakes, in all areas, were as bad as the pitching.

This team was too mistake filled to improve. Never seen anything like in a long time at LSU....

How many errors did LSU commit this regional in the 4 games?

At one point LSU was 25-1 when committing 1 error or less in games. This wasn’t on errors. It was on pitching. Pitching had their own errors.

I knew it would be a tough regional to win but how it played out is extremely frustrating. USM had to play an extra game than us, our offense was nonexistent for the entire weekend except for maybe 6 innings, and pitchers couldn’t even throw strikes. Going up 2-0 in the bracket and losing is sickening.

If we got the pitching that we had all year (not great) we cruise through this regional and would be hosting a Super.

Our pitching wasn’t good enough to compete I agree. But we managed to underachieve anyway.

This was obvious fairly early in the season and only became more obvious as each week went by. We need to pull a Rice: bring in 3 freshman studs, get marucci to pay them big NIL deal, and roll into Omaha!

2 out of 3 over Ole Miss at home is extremely doable

Having followed both programs for years never thought would see the day that USM pitching staff would be far superior to Tigers pitching staff...the case this year. Frickin mind blowing.

Really? It was less than a month ago that we couldn’t even take 1 vs them at home. All considered, I rather our season end on the road vs seeing Ole Miss dogpiling at the Box.

Agree! Defensive errors at this level are unacceptable. Extra Home runs here and there don’t compensate.
Congrats to new Coach to get to Regionals, but think what result would have been with only the 2nd best pitchers from SE, La Tech, ULL, Tulane, UNO. Nortwestern, LSUS! We’d have won College WS going away!! The pitchers/players are right here in our back yard!
Come On Woodward/Johnson GO OUT RECRUIT THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
