Just seems soaking in tailgating and then enjoying a more comfortable view is getting interesting. Bleacher seats, a phucking DJ, smallest video board in the sec and with ads covering up 40’%. Speakers only on one end zone (have you been to bama).

Maybe I’m just getting old and becoming. A Scrooge

No, you're not wrong, it fricking sucks now. I live right by campus and used to ride my bike to games. I would get home before they got to the stats in the post game show.

But it's really not worth it anymore. I mostly can't take all the piped in music and time between plays waiting for TV. I remember going to games before they were all televised, and it's a totally different experience.

But they won't change anything because people are still going. When the stadium's half full for Alabama, then they MIGHT change.

The most disturbing thing are the people who just do not get it. There are numerous in this thread with all the smart arse replies as evidence to that. For a stadium that boasts itself as this great experience, it falls way short. It would be like me inviting a group of people over to the house to eat a meal and me coming out with McDonald’s.

have the same vendors who are bidding for concessions bid themselves into footing the bill to Aramark

What? If a vendor is willing to do something for a minimum price you can’t then add more scope (paying off Aramark) and expect the same price.

Hot water? For what?

Eat well before going into the stadium. Pretty sure most of us can make it 3 hours without having to eat. My total consumption: 4 bottles of water $15.40
I’m not spending $10 on A beer that I don’t drink at home.

This doesn't make any sense. You're already spending money on tickets, tailgating, parking, etc that you wouldn't pay a dime on if you watched from home. Have a bite to eat and take the pennies out of your arse.

Dude trying to ring me up had no clue how to work the pos. Took a pic of the hot dog in case i died of ptomaine poisoning. Only bud light was cold. Then these clowns wanted tips.

Maybe it is just in my section (though I can't imagine that is the case), but the group working the concession stand appeared to be a bunch of HS kids apparently working to raise funds for their basketball teams. I ordered a sausage po-boy (which at least was hot) and a coke. I was also asked if I wanted to provide a tip for the basketball team. They were a bit unorganized, but generally got me in and out quick. Of course, I time my trips during a point in the game where I don't think the lines will be long (usually mid 2nd quarter while there is action taking place...never during a TO, halftime, or quarter break.

Frankly, I don't go to LSU games with the expectation of eating or drinking. I either eat before or just wait until after. The cost alone is enough of a deterrent. So even if the food were better I doubt I'd change my habits. But I do think it would be more reasonable to have individual vendors rather than the HS beta club or cub scouts. I'm sure there would be a market for such since those vendors would have a captive customer base who would be willing to pay a 50%, 100%, 200% mark up for the products.

Can't agree more. Same as a movie theater.

All that stuff is there as a convenience but no one is obligated to buy it.

Fat people problems....

So we have 100 million for Kelly

But can't get hot dogs and cold beer

Sounds like Louisiana

If you dare ask about a development plan you get mocked...

But if the stadium has areas smelly or nasty...do you want to stay? Does it make proud of your school?

These are not expensive to fix

They had plenty of coke for our bourbon in the south endzone. We even got free Chik Fil A during the Grambling game

This has nothing to do with concessions. The areas that I occupy and pass through in the stadium are very nice. I haven’t seen any nastiness or smelly odors.

That’s not how contracts work.

Then breach of contract, poor performance, bad products, stage a sickness... lawsuit or GTFO?

Buy them out like we do coaches?

We should have quality products, long list of Cajun delicacies, and at a great price = lots of revenue
