Would you rather watch LSU play Clemson or "Smaller State of Louisiana College" or "Out of State Sisters of the Poor University" in Tiger Stadium?

You're not seriously complaining about playing Clemson, are you?

If so.....

For most teams, it’s harder to go undefeated against tOSU’s schedule than against LSU’s schedule, and that’s why tOSU’s opponents have a better combined record

Since LSU's Strength of Record is #1, this is literally not true.

So not when tOSU beats a team seven wins better than the team LSU beat, but yes when tOSU beats a team two games better? Come on.

I base that solely on quality wins to this point in the season, which is what it should be based on. LSU has beaten current #5, #11 and #15. OSU has beaten the current #10, #12 and #19. Everything else is a wash. That is what I based it on. If OSU beats Michigan, they would at that time have a better resume, and their leap over LSU would be justified. Not sure why that's hard for you to grasp?

Don't pretend that sitting in your double-wide watching sports talk makes you some kind of insider. You basically re-hashed what media members were already talking about. News Flash...you're not the only one on this board that understands and watches college football, but I'm sorry to have questioned you, Nostradamus!

Yeah but it feels like they’re 9-2 so the committee is a fraud.

Ohio State will have an equal or better Strength of Schedule at the end of the regular season than LSU.

We still play UGA, Kosmo.

We're not trying to be down on the Buckeyes - I think y'all have a great team - certainly looks better than Clemson, who also has a great team that hasn't (and won't until the playoffs) played anything like the teams LSU and tOSU have.

But, we're clearly, demonstrably the most proven of the 3 unbeaten teams.

Point to the year(s) LSU got burned by a tough OOC schedule.

In your own words, what is “strength of record?”

What is the point of playing top out of conference teams

To watch quality football games?

People are so obsessed with the CFP these days, they seem to have forgotten the whole point is to watch quality football, not to try to sneak in and get lucky.

Do you even care about actual football games anymore?

Why do you want my words, the metric has a definition:

"The chance that an average top 25 team would have the same record or better, given the same schedule."

Laugh all you want, I don't make the metrics. Geez man.

Edited to add "or better."

But it does. And it is fun. LSU got a world of momentum out of the Texas win. Even as Texas faded.

They will close with #13 and either #8 or current 12 who would move up if they beat 8.

So using this week's rankings

LSU 4, 5, 11, 15
tOSU 8 or 12, 12, 13, 19

advantage LSU but not overwhelmingly and some of those teams for both will drop

keep it!! If we can win a Natty this year and keep progressing as an elite team we could take over Clemson/Bama as the best program in the country.
