Our RPI is at 57 now, damn it's dropped a lot since that Arkansas win which originally had us at 47. Not feeling good about anything other than a play-in game which absolutely sucks.

LSU has no one to blame for that but themselves! At this point, I will take whatever they can get (play in game)!

LSU must be in. ESPN just spent 40 minutes making cases for and against the bubble teams and LSU wasn't mentioned once by any analyst. Only reference at all was a graph shown while LuNardi was talking showing LSU 2-1 against prob tourney teams since Jan. No one else had more than 1 and Indiana was 0-8.

If we somehow don't make it, I would be ok with us just turning down a NIT bid.

WTF? That'd be stupid of us.

If you don't want to watch the team, fine. But regardless of any impending attrition, this is a young team that could use all the post-season experience it can get, especially if Mickey is hurt.
I'd objectively love us having to play without Mickey, and be forced to use Malone, Bridgewater and/or Epps for an extended period of time.

No no no we should start Elbert and play him 25 minutes a game in this hypothetical NIT appearance. Get him ready for next year.

that's why this team establishing itself during the season and making themselves into a bona fide dance team was so important, so...wait for it...drum roll... NEXT YEAR, the likes of hornsby, gray, patterson, TQ, and hopefully one if not both of martin/mickey could have that experience. last year's NIT was a good starting point.

getting in and winning a game would be huge for #nextyear for real

Plus 1000. We seemed to follow every great win with a horrible loss. This is not our year but we need the tourney experience, and hopefully a win or two

Its the only reason I wanted to make the tourney this year. I knew we weren't making a final four type run. But winning a game or two would make this season a huge success and give us plenty of tourney experience for next year.

I think you should go by average seed, not "percentage of brackets"

can't work that way.

A team that is in 4 of 100 brackets could have an average of 11.56

while a team in 89 of 100 brackets could have an average of 12.34

obviously the second team is more likely to make it.

percentage of brackets than average seed makes more sense.

Off-topic a little, but it's bubble related:

considering the way the entire bubble slid back this weekend (that's why LSU lost, but doesn't seem to have lost ground), would anyone be truly shocked if Murray State slips into a 12 seed play-in?

I suppose no one could really complain that much but I don't think there's any real chance simply going by recent committee decisions on similar resumes.

If I recall they really have no big wins at all and weren't that good against the only couple of bubble type teams they played like Xavier.

I keep seeing LSU #11 vs Boise #11 in play in game?

Will LSU have a play in game?

Theres a decent chance of it

If they are one of the last 4 at large bids then they will play in Dayton Tue or Wed to get into the main field
