I don’t know if that is correct. I think the loss to UK is what did is in! We beat UK and go to the semi’s and I believe that would have done it, having to beat the “by far” #1 team in the nation isn’t a realistic ask, and if that was what it was riding on then we weren’t getting the regional no matter what.
Neither Auburn or Florida had to beat Tenn to get a regional and we had a better record than both of them heading into the SEC tourney!
