I completely agree. I'm telling what I think is going to happen. I don't understand how you keep McMahon in any scenario. If Wade is your target, you make a run at him and move on if you can't get him. Right now, LSU and Syracuse are the biggest fish in the hiring pond (and we may end up being the only SEC team in the pond).

There's degrees of "out". McMahon's "out" has been as close as Dale Brown has been the last four years. McMillian didn't make the tourney last year at Samford.

Whoever the coach ends up being, The PG for Mcneese should be a high priority for us. His numbers as a freshman are unreal.Best pg I’ve seen at Mcneese in a loooong time

I still think tGeneral is a possible get. Too much smoke to for too long to be no fire.
But yeah, that might not work out. I think we could pull someone like:
- Kelsey at Louisville
- McCasland at TT
- Beard at OM (meh. would be fun but not my first choice.)
I would love to get one of these guys, but I don't think we can pull them:
- Drew at Baylor
- Tang at K State
- Otz at Iowa St
- Williams at ATM
ETA: I really just don't want to suck anymore. Just for basketball to be watchable again would be fantastic. But this hire needs to be a home run for the program's sake. Hope Verge nails it.

Brian Kelly might be the only option worse than retaining McMahon. Anybody different brings a glimmer of hope. McMahon is an energy vampire to the program in addition to all the losing.
