On LSU?
Kevin Faulk

Any college?
Barry Sanders

Don't get me wrong, I'd rather have TM7 clean, sober, and making plays all over the field this year than have to watch him throw his football future away, but he made his bed. LSU will roll on without him. If anything, it gives some of our underclassmen a chance to step up and show what they can do.

Mo Claiborn was twice the player the Reefer Weasle

Claiborne was awesome and a well-rounded player - no doubt. Defensively, he was better in some parts of his game. But he wasn't twice the player that TM was. The dude was the first defensive player to win the SEC Championship Game MVP in like 17 years. He was only a sophomore and made it to the Heisman Ceremony. The NC game wasn't his best game, but we didn't have many highlights either. Even the best are due an off game every now and then.

You should use this as an opportunity to tell your son that TM has a drug problem and that he may have allowed drugs to ruin his life or at least he has made his path to success much more difficult.

Don't sugar coat it, tell your son the truth.

I have one: Kevin Faulk

Exactly who I was thinking of because no one played with more heart (maybe some equal, but none with more). Punt returner, running back, or receiver, man did it all; even tossed a few good passes.

A few mistakes as a young man doesn't your life make. Tyran Mathieu "WILL SUCEED" in his life.
He has to much heart and soul. He is going to learn the best way thru some hard knocks and this will make him stronger. LSU FANS ARE BEHIND YOU TYRAN.......you are a "TIGER" for life.

That who came to my mind as well. The only RB I've ever seen with comparable zig-n-zag was Barry Sanders.

Carlos Carson. I loved watching him as a kid. He could make some unbelievable catches. Closest thing LSU ever had to Lynn Swann.

Reading every post so far in this thread I think it's pretty apparent that there are very few exceptions of anyone that was more exciting to watch than TM7. A handful perhaps but he was in very elite company. The fact that he did it playing defense and special teams makes that even more remarkable. As Charles Barkley said, he's no role model. But as for pure entertainment value on the football field he was very special indeed. I was already disappointed at the news of Lance Armstrong this week ,who i would consider a role model. At least he's had his glory. TM7 still has so much potential to add to his very short, but impressive resume. I sure hope he gets his shite together cause i'd love to watch him play again.

College outside of LSU-
Bo. Primetime. Herschel. Rocket. Flutie. Bush.

LSU-
Faulk. Dalton. Diesel.

Fairly short list, but those guys had more status, and they all made tons of amazing plays.
