ETA: The more I think about it. Miles is actually very Frank Beamerish. Special teams has won us more than a handful of games in the past 10 years.

Thats because, until recently, he could not give two fricks about offense. Special teams will need to win you some games if you dont plan on crossing the 50 haha.

Didn't Juan Betanzos miss a chip shot on the last play to beat Alabama around '85-'87?

That's the only criteria needed to label him the worst kicker in LSU history.

Corbello was pretty terrible his sophomore year. People loved him though. Apparently sitting on the front row during basketball games makes you popular enough to forgive missed field goals and PATs. You should never miss a PAT.

that's because miles uses scholarships on kickers unlike Saban.

The only scholarship kicker now is the backup kickoff specialist and third string place kicker, lucky to have amazing walk ons this time

And he still wound up kicking in the NFL as a specialist.

Too bad punter is a different story. Kheen is good for at least 1 shank every single game.

Ronnie Lewis, played in the early 80's. Flipped off the student section after he was booed for missing a kick.

Wow! Browndyke did not miss a single kick his Sr. season. Only perfect kicking season in LSU history. And that was the first season of place-kicking without a tee as I recall.

Family friend of Gov Edwards which ended getting him a job with SF for a short period of time after his LSU days.

...and son of judge Richey. There are a few that believe Richey threw games with missed kicks for the owner of SF and Edwards. He was actually better in the NFL. Not saying i bbelieve it, just that this school of thought exists

Miles teams own the LSU offensive record book, which you've evidently never opened.

Its been so long I cant think of a good choice! Definitely not under Miles

You only have to go back to years to get to Alleman's 2012 season.

Then Chris Jackson was a pretty bad place kicker. He was a good punter.

Colt David was good but he'd shank a ton of field goals.
