I’ll nominate Joe Burrow but I’ll give Tyrann Matthieu the #1 spot. What an amazing story. Both these guys represent LSU better than anyone!

Jim Corbett........great Athletic Director.. Among other things, he gave us HEY FIGHTING TIGERS.
(In 1962, at the request of Athletics Director Jim Corbett, LSU Director of Social Recreation Gene Quaw adapted the original composition of the Broadway hit “Hey Look Me Over” from the musical Wildcat to include LSU lyrics. “Hey Fighting Tigers” was played publicly for the first time at the opening game against Texas A&M, in honor of coach Charles McClendon’s first game at LSU.)
Hey, Fightin’ Tigers, Fight all the way
Play, Fightin’ Tigers, win the game today.
You’ve got the know how,
you’re doing fine,
Hang on to the ball as you hit the wall
And smash right through the line
You’ve got to go for a touchdown
Run up the score.
Make Mike the Tiger stand right up and roar.
ROAR!
Give it all of your might as you fight tonight
and keep the goal in view.
Victory for L-S-U!

For historical reference - here is rare footage Lucille Ball - and I think Paula Stewart (who is still with us) performing the original song, probably on Ed Sullivan, but not 100% sure
Wildcat was Ball's only (at least the only major) performance on Broadway.

It's SHAQ.
No other LSU player has consistently been seen in the media as much as him. He's been repping LSU since the early 90s.
Mathieu could end up doing it similarly... but lets be honest. the biggest personalities in LSU history are
SHAQ and BURROW... Burrow is a great ambassador, but SHAQ is one of the greatest basketball players of ALL TIME and he reps LSU every chance he gets.

next time you're on a business trip/convention and a group goes where there is a piano and you're with some Gumps,Aggies, etc ask the Piano player to play "Hey,Look me over" from Wildcat. Sing along with Hey, Fightin' Tigers while your group goes nuts.
