Yes
Not looking it all up but he’s the HC, AD & chairs a bunch of committees
Pretty sure he’s happy where he is

Well their was an assistant coach one time who built the best baseball program in the country at his first head coaching job.

What was his name. He held a rope or something like that.

and it was well understood that it was he that was actually coaching the team, not the head coach...

He’d be in my top 5. I don’t think they get to him unless several turn it down. Like I’d rather him over Godwin

He will get a shot one day
Tulane would be a good first job for him

LSU fans sure do have a weird fetish for unqualified or under-qualified coaches with Louisiana or LSU connections

It's at least a step up from the guy who wants to hire Ben McDonald.

No one is impressed that you attempted to pull a name out of your arse. We get it. You listen to Moscona and Theriot on Friday afternoons.

Lack of HC experience? I think he would do a great job, but understand it’s hard to hire a guy who hasn’t done it before. JG is probably the biggest reason we’ve made it to Omaha the last two years.

I think Travis Jewett's days are numbered at Tulane. Gautreau would be the perfect hire to re-establish the program that has stagnated since Texas hired David Pierce from Tulane.

I’m just a fan, so what’do I know. But Skip had no head coaching experience either. He worked out ok.

But, that was before LSU was a baseball ?? school. Now, I am not sure if Tony LaRussa would be good enough for our Tiger fans...

I have no doubt he’d be successful. But it won’t happen because of no head coaching experience. I’d love if the new coach could steal him from State though

The guy a has a bunch of national championships and been national coach of the year numerous times at a lower level.

Which begs the question, why had he stayed at LSUE so long?

Some guys prefer certain levels. He gets to develop guys and get them to the next level. That’s enough for some. Plus he has a great situation where he is basically his own boss.

I understand.
He isn’t motivated to compete on a big stage, or he isn’t good enough or both.

I think LSU is one of the top 5-6 baseball programs in the country. They can get a bigger fish. This isn't Woodward's style.
