He has all the tools for sure. My question is can he read the defenses like Burrow did and does he have the escapability skills that Burrow had? That will be the difference between good and great! IMO he possesses enough of those skills to be great! Geaux Tigers!

Congratulations Laverne. You will be referred to as Shirley for the rest of of your ranter lifetime. Book it, whatever that means. But I like your post. Pics? Guy, no pics?

There's no doubt that Brennan has a strong arm and can throw.
And he'll have the skill players to distribute the ball to all over the place. We have big physical receivers and 3 tough bruising running backs, which will help set up the passing game with Marshall, Chase, McMath, Palmer and Gilbert.
But IMO Brennan isn't the question mark. It's the O-line.

If the rebuilt (somewhat) O-line is solid, the offense with Brennan should be solid. We need a strong, nasty, 2-deep O-line to let Myles do his thing.

My biggest evidence of Brennan's ability and the coaching staff's confidence in him is that we didn't go after a transfer QB. Coach O has shown he isn't going to stand pat and will do whatever it takes. With the offense we run and weapons coming back, all of the graduate transfer QB's would have jumped at the chance to come here.

What about D’Eriq King? He reminds me of Kyler Murray.

King already went to Miami.

Brennan def has the arm and talent to do well. I'm just not sold on his leadership and confidence yet, still looks a little indecisive back there.

He has what he needs to succeed. Elite receivers who can bail him out, a stable of solid rbs, an amazing offensive line, and a talented coaching staff in their second year of elite offense. All that needs to happen for us to be elite again is him to be able to scramble under pressure.

The staff did say that Brennan made the biggest jump of any player in the off season. It was reported by one of the SECN analysts during the GA Southern game.

Good to hear, from what I’ve seen there’s no doubt arm strength is there, better than Joe’s. His touch looks like it’s improved in his last outing, not throwing it 100mph on every throw, and he had no drops. Looked more comfortable in the pocket, not nervous or early bailing, like early in the year. He looks to be ever bit the athlete Joe is, when he runs. The question, which Joe answered, is if he’s tough. Joe had everything you could ask for in a leader, and decision making, and was tough as nails; waited to last second to throw when his guys got open, and took huge hits because he waited so long. Jury is still out with Myles, cause we haven’t seen that moxy. Practice doesn’t show that cause guys are letting up, usually on their own QB’s. It’s encouraging that you see these things, just hoping you are right....
