The kid came in as a Freshman weighing 180 lbs. Passed for over 15k yards, and 165 TD's. The kid can sling a football. The problem was he was not physically ready for facing top SEC defenses with huge DL. Now he's up to 210 lbs. Myles Brennan 6' 4" 210 lbs, Joe Burrow 6' 4" 216 lbs. He's going to be a very good QB for LSU.

Miles has had 3 years to wow us with something, “anything” in Spring game action, real game action, or mop up duty.

I understand that he’s been handcuffed by the coaching staff at end of game opportunities, but....

There is nothing, I mean absolutely Nothing, that he has done, that indicates he can take over next year without a severe decline in offensive production.
don't know why this is getting so downvoted.

This post isn't wrong.

Now, maybe Brennan has improved substantially and will kick arse next year. But he's showed nothing this far. That's a fact.

And the coaches clearly had no faith in him as of 18 months ago, when he came out of spring practice and the coaches ran out to find a transfer.

Again, maybe it'll be different in 10 months, but as of now, Brennan hasn't shown it.

Don't know why it's so hard to admit that.

Stick to your job on the garbage truck hoss! That's why we have coaches that get paid to do this!

Because you could have said the same things about Joe Burrow last year. We have no idea how good or bad Brennan would be as a full-time starter. I trust the coaches. I’ll believe he’s not ready when a transfer comes in.

Yea but the last 4 games of the year you could tell the light was starting to come on. He demonstrated how tough he was and what kind of leadership he had in those games. He was showing tremendous improvement

Ohio St coaches (Meyer) told Burrow he threw like a girl and kept finding QBs to transfer in and replace him. Frost wasn't interested in brining him in at Nebraska. Burrow didn't get his big shot till he was a grad transfer. I think he was worth the wait.

Kids mature. Sometimes they don't. I'm comfortable with giving Brennan a shot in Brady's offense bc it suits him and he has the ability.

Exactly. He hadn’t played enough. When he goes with the ones all next camp season and he starts which I’m thinking there’s a strong chance he does we will see how he develops. We haven’t even seen him do a lot in tbis offense. The staff and Myles will spend months molding the offense to suit Myles. And I imagine it will involve the RBs a ton. I believe with his arm he will get vertical a ton off of play action. Just my opinion

It’s called homerism. It unfortunately blinds a lot of fans

JT Barrett and Dwayne Haskins transferred into Ohio State?

That's news to me.

I'd like to know what qualifies you to disagree with coach Orgeron and the staff? They say he is ready.
Are you at practice or a member of the team?

And again, last season Burrow was a 50%+ QB
Here you have to factor in the progression of the receivers due to the magic of Joe Brady’s work with them and reducing the dropsies...

I think Myles will be fine once he plays more. He will start the season with the usual first year starter errors, but only improve. Lot of folks were down on JB after the first starts at LSU. Will he produce like JB? No. Very, very few are capable of that, but by his second year, he will be fine imo.

Took him a few years, but finally gaining the weight he needed. Can he take the hits JB has taken and get up to play? Again, very, very few are capable. JB has spoiled all of us. Cannot believe how comfortable I have become with 3rd & 17, no problem. I really hope the fan base does not expect the same of any young man stepping under center.

I have been around long enough to see a few Tiger QBs; Rabb, Stokley, Amedee, Screen, Jones, Tyler, etc., etc., & I never expect to see another approach JB in the time I have left. Enjoy it while it last, but don’t take it out on the next few if they are not in his class.

Maybe not winning all those awards but you'd be kidding yourself if he didn't show himself as brilliant in the raw. You could see what the kid possessed. I'm just glad he wasn't a one year and out guy or he'd never have achieved greatness in college.
I could tell he was special right off the bat against Miami last year.

uh, there may be a bit of coach speak in there.

You think any coach would ever say their backup QB isn’t ready?

You've been whining and negative since last season.

It's your MO to think the worst

You're correct I was wrong. I thought Haskins was a transfer and that Fields had announced before Burrow left. Wrong on both counts.

I just say what I think, based on what I see. Burrow is spectacular. Brennan has shown nothing.

Maybe I’m wrong and Brennan will light it up next year, and I hope he does.

I just don’t think he will.

Sorry if my refusal to be a blind homer bothers you, but I prefer to think with my head and not my heart.

People questioning Myles’ competitiveness need to watch this video.

That was great.
