The Saints contacted Brennan wanting to select him late in the draft to be a practice squad QB.
CBK convinced him to stay at LSU and promised in the starting job. He chose to come back. When he was told in camp he wasn’t the guy, ultimately he quit.

I hunt with his relatives, and that’s pretty much true, since you are breaking news. I just know he was promised the starting job to come back then they went out and got JK.
I honestly think he would have been fine to just have a chance to win the job, but he didn’t even get that and I was told he was 3rd team. He wasn’t down with that.

He obviously should have just left gone to USM, saints whatever.

I don’t know their reasons etc, but they definitely lied to Myles, have zero and I mean zero doubt about that

Right, so the Saints contacted Brennan, while he’s in the transfer portal in December, and said they’re taking him in April

Makes perfect sense

What's stopping the Saints from selecting Brennan late in the draft to be a practice squad QB?

I’ve always felt it was wrong for Brian Kelly to encourage Miles Brennan to come back, knowing he wasn’t his type of QB. If he was, he wouldn’t have went after Jaden Daniels. Brennan could have played his final year somewhere else!

So what’s stopping him from still signing as an undrafted free agent and being the scout QB?

ETA: I bet his NIL deal was more than a practice squad player is paid and he could still do the practice squad thing. Actual sounds like a win win.

Assuming this really happened, it sounds like a kid that made a quick emotional decision he regrets or he just doesn’t enjoy football anymore and is trying to make an excuse for it.

But more likely just sounds like some bs someone on a message board made up.
