I support Lee, he's a senior, and has earned it but, if anybody cannot admit that Mett's ceiling is waaaaay higher, they are in freaking fairy land.

Be careful what you wish for- you just might get it. I hope to see Mett in mop up duty all season long! My worry is that JL's ankle may cause problems the rest of the year and Mett may be thrown to the wolves- hopefully LSU survives unscathed. We may have a defense and running game that allows us to run the table. 2 and 0 with 40 plus points per game- yet the haters gotta hate.

You are right, but you will be criticized by many people. Lee did a good job, but having seen the game in person, Mettenberger is obviously blessed with more physical skills and poise. He needs to be involved in every game and eventually become the starter.

I agree with this.
P;laycalling for Mett was much different that whith Lee.
Metts first three plays were passes.

Your view is shite. The fact that you felt that it was worth sharing shows how stupid and narcissistic you are.

I question who these "fans" are who blast any mention of Mett. Lets call them "paper tigers". During the game Jim and co. were all over Mett saying how crisp and clean his passes were, how great his vision was, how great his footwork was. The Times Pic is all over Mett. The Advocate is all over Mett. ESPN is talking about Mett. Coach Miles was praising Mett. Its great that LSU has a seasoned, experienced leader at QB in Lee and its great that LSU has an experienced backup in Mett.

The sky is blue and the sun shines! Its going to be a fun season.

The best thing about last night was that Mett got the chance to play 30 minutes offootball. I had to listen on the radio, but it sounded like the. 1st team was in there for some of it.

That gives him some experience, and he'll be that much better prepared when he is called on to play again.

I support both Lee and Mett, but I think Lee's experience is the difference-maker right now.

What the OP said is true, don't hate the player, hate the game!!! Mett has a better arm and was very poised out there, live with it and hold your argument for JL and then you Stop it Please!!!

Some of you have completely written JJ off. I agree with Mett being good, I knew that since watching him in the spring game. I also don't like JJ as qb of LSU. But he's not going anywhere and will be hanging around if not reinstated back on the team, just buckle down and brace yourselves for that.

Right when we start feeling good about the qb situation again, it will happen.

So, that being said Mett will be our starter for 2012/2013.

Better qb play I have seen at LSU the last 3 years. We can win with JL&Mett!

you base your opinion on one half of football; where LSU was playing a vastly inferior opponent and mett came in with a huge lead. while you may ultimatly be correct miles would be a fool to make a qb change based on that alone.

Let's see what lee does when that same linebacker step in front of his pass and take it back for 6 if that's the case because bans is good enough to stop the run and the pass. Saban is going to blitz the shite lee and you guys need to be really worried he make it that far. He just panicked and froze when that guy sacked him last night and he came up limping after that. People you should be worried about our quarterback situation because we may need them all if lee goes down.
