In your words, it was 'against Northwestern St.' Mett did well last night and I feel better about bringing him in if Lee gets hurt or when we're well ahead, but Lee has had four years to learn how to read defenses and react appropriately. Mett needs to continue to improve before I put a game on the line with him under center.

INteresting, but remember Lee came into the Auburn game in 2008 after the starter got hurt, and won the game.
RP replaced Flynn twice in 2007 after Flynn got hurt and won each time, one of them the SECCG.
Flynn looked mediocre in 2005, even getting yanked after a pick six against Moo St, but won the Bowl game against Miami after JR got hurt in the SECCG.
Mauck came off the bench in the SECCG in 2001 as a redshirt freshman and won the game after Rohan got hurt.
Our QBs have done remarkably well in recent years when coming into big games when they really havent shown much prior to that game.
