After what happened Saturday, I think it’s time we find out.

And maybe he's just not telling the coaches and doctors how much pain he's in and it's just a bad strain so he can recover this season

But the coaches can see what’s happening in the field. Shouldn’t matter what Nuss is telling them.

He occasionally throws a pass with zip on it. He’s also throwing several ducks or lobbing some passes. The inconsistency of how the ball looks coming out of his hand is weird. He’s also moving completely fine and you would think a core injury would make it difficult to do that. Even had some bail outs where he spun and didn’t look hampered at all.

won’t explain his mental mistakes however).

It could affect him psychologically. Second guessing. Knowing he can quickly read and react to effective check down to receivers. And definitely hesitate (avoid completely) to run. That INT v UF when he thought it was offsides was just pure stupidity though.

Once we get a glimpse of MVB's talent compared to Nuss, it's game over and the fans will riot if MVB doesn't remain the started. Nuss shouldn't see the field again and rightfully so bc he is not the guy. I don't care how much we paid for him or what promises were made to his Daddy regarding playing time for him and his brother. LSU comes first. Winning comes first. I'm checked out bc of this bs, and it's all BK's fault. He is a loser who has never and will never win anything significant.

I don't think Nuss would ever admit to being injured. He's tough, but that's not what is best for the team. Really not what's best for him as he's playing himself into the 7th round.

Is that why he’s throwing the ball into triple coverage through multiple games?

Looks like he just guessing when he throws and hoping for the best. Jump ball to a 5’8” WR across the middle? His command with the ball is almost as bad as his decision making. He may be hurt but his decision making is just as bad.

I cannot remember who said it but someone else in BTR said they thought it was the same injury as Brennan just not as severe.

its the same injury Miles Brennan had and Walker Howard has. degree of severity varies but both suck bad. its 1 of 2 scenarios: GN will play like this season (not close to 100%) or shut it down (have surgery). probably what is being decided this week

Yep, that is why they signed him. kelly is probably loyal to nuss which i appreciate, but at a certain point gotta do what's best for the team.

There's a difference between a throw across the middle where he doesn't have to turn, rotate, plant, and drive the ball downfield.

People forget he's also dealing with knee tendonitis which can't be helping matters.

Offseason surgery would probably affect his draft status

Shitty decisions and play will hurt it more.

I was saying this the other day, he had to tear a muscle or strainer to the point of almost tearing.

quote:

This is the perfect kind of injury that you can play through and manage symptoms but will never be 100%. Would assume Nuss opted to play through and get it fixed after the season hoping to perform well and not effect his draft status.

This. I believe Nuss and staff believed he could play through it, just dink and dunk with maybe 1 or 2 big shotst and score 24-30pts per game bc the defense would limit the other teams. Problem is they are struggling to score 18pt per Game and he doesn’t have much zip at all and every deep ball 30-40 yd he’s throwing 10 yards short. It’s a major issue to the point of killing the season and draft status.

Except he’s thrown passes with velocity to the hash marks and has lobbed some passes in the middle of the field. Point is, it’s all over the place and there is no consistency. Again, his mobility looks the same as last year, even when he’s spinning or getting hit. He doesn’t look hampered there at all.
