Well Tate is terrible at his job so this wouldn’t be surprising.
But I struggle to believe any competent AD would want somebody like Tate making hiring and firing decisions that could impact Woody’s job.

I was one of Will Wade’s biggest supporters. It needed to be done. It sucks but he dug his own grave with this one.

Dr Tate is a no non sense guy and he’s not going to let a coach bring down his institution. Wade lied to him. It was the only move.

Agreed.
Tate’s job isn’t to meddle in athletics. That’s the AD’s job and Tate can evaluate the AD on how that goes.

The fact that you don't think Woodward had any choice after what they had on Wade, just with paying that damn woman using his own phone to text and own bank account to wire it.....holy shite man. LSU isn’t Tate’s institution. We have witnessed more turmoil and negative press under his leadership than at any other point in the history of LSU. Dropping enrollment numbers, fewer research grants, and higher costs define his tenure.

I’m sure Woody is going to push this narrative hard. He is fully aware of how unpopular this will ultimately be. He’s going to do everything he can to run from it. At the end of the day, he’s the A.D. and it’s on him.
