Not a terrible idea per se, but who takes over for Herring in the 6th of game 1?

Or the 4th or 5th inning...

Ack
don't like Ack coming in for Herring. Their stuff is too similar. I'd want the opponent to see something completely different. I'd bring in Little, Guidry, or Hellmers
Also, if you burn Ack and Herring in game 2, that doesn't leave much for games 2 and 3 when we need a sweep.

Where has Coleman been? Nagging injuries?

JJ will give you sammy dutton and you'll like it.

I like it. With these relievers (including ideas for who they might replace, based on L/R pitching changes):
A Group
- Little for Jump
- Ack for Holman
- Guidry for Herring
- Ulloa - for Herring
B Group
- Loer - Holman
- Moffett - Jump
- Dutton - Herring
- Anderson - Holman
- Coleman - Holman
Wild Card
- Hurd - Jump (with a big lead)
I think we could roll with this!

That’s the smartest most thought out risk reward I’ve seen on here in a while…. Love it!!!
Looks to be the best way to get a sweep. You got get your best 3 pitchers starting and hope the bats come alive.

I like it. Don't know why anyone would object to this.

Ok, my argument was soft. Ole Miss doesn’t have an Ace. Plus the dude who they will throw Thursday wears a pearl necklace and has poison ivy tattooed on his arm.
Start Herring Thursday, put up a 13 spot in the bottom of the first, then bring in Thatcher in the 2nd and hang on for dear life. Saving Herring for relief on Saturday.

You can shuffle the order however you want, especially with the SEC tournament starting Tuesday. I was more so referring to the actual guys starting. Herring has to be one of those guys

Why not? Not the worst idea I’ve heard by a long shot.

Start jump and holman the first 2 games. See if you need to use herring in one of those 2 first

I would love to save one of our best pitchers for the third game. Have to win the first two though.

Give Herring, Jump and Holman a shot. Nothing at all has worked in a third game of any series. Gut out the first two games and give yourself a fighting chance to finish it off with Holman. I don't have confidence in anything we've tried before, so maybe this rotation revitalizes everyone.
