Yes, Les is a great guy who runs a clean program yada yada yada, but he is just not a very smart man and is a deeply flawed football coach....sorry that is the simple truth....

Sorry, John Chavis who is much closer to the man than you, said that Miles is brilliant. I'd rather have a true genius who didn't sound like one, than vice versa...just look at Obama. Great story. Miles will finish his life with happiness and many friends, while Saban will die a worn-out, unhappy, lonely man.

Your respect means nothing to me and none of this has anything to do with Saban. The euphoria of the moment is clouding judgment. Miles has been a problem for the past few years and that is a simple fact. Its nothing personal and calling me names will not change this.

You and Saban have something in common...both sound like LOADS of fun to hang out with.

The other not-so-shocking part of all of this is how the children of each coach have turned out. Miles' kids stay out of trouble, are motivated, and are good citizens. It has been well chronicled that Saban's kids are not very well adjusted...his son is a little prick (first hand knowledge) and the daughter has problems too.

So Miles' conveniently forgot how to coach in 2008 and 2009 and became a liability when the team went 17-8, but before and after that, when the team went 42-7, that's the players winning in spite of Miles?

Give me a fricking break. Maybe Miles just was able to maintain the program during a transitional period, unlike Mark Richt, Joe Paterno, and Mack Brown this year.

Yup, Nick should have stayed at MSU. We all know how mad his kids were--according to him--when he left MSU for LSU. He should have stayed there and gone 8-4 or 9-3 every year and maybe 10-2 once in awhile and his kids would have turned out normal.

I've met Saban and he was really cool and down to earth. It sounds to me that you were wasting his time with that lame story. How did you expect him to react?

Coach Miles looked at me and with intensity said, "Get him on the phone."

I dunno why, but I can easily picture exactly how he would look and sound saying this

I'm not sure what you mean by "past few years". He certainly had a couple of disappointing seasons. This year he doesn't have a true SEC quarterback and, last I checked, the Tigers were 8-1.

I'll ever go so far as to suggest that your statement will appear even more foolish by the end of this season.

I would expect him to be able to recognize a fan that thought of and respected him enough to share a personal and heartfelt memory with him and at the very least show a small amount of gratefulness for sharing the story, thank him and be on his way...to totaling ignore someone is flat out rude...

and for Bamascoop, next time you feel the need to share, don't, that would be a great...

Did you notice how, once again, Saban blamed his players after the game.

On the fourth down call, a player was supposed to hold the edge, just in case LSU tried something like that. In other words, Nick had it all figured out, and his players screwed up his brilliant planning.

The guy never places any blame on himself -- it's always his players who aren't following "the process."

He was right. I hope you said "thanks"
