My guess is Woman’s final four attendance won’t come close to LSU /Iowa games.

Angel Reese not far off when she says “everyone wants to be LSU everybody wants to beat LSU. “
Whether we like it or not all Tiger sports teams are a “brand” now

Of course not. The rise in attention in women’s basketball the last two years was from all the Mulkey attention and controversy. As soon as the media stops telling all the lemmings to care about her it’ll go back to no one giving a shite about women’s basketball

I disagree. Uconn has a huge following. And then South Carolina undefeated with a chance for revenge with CC going for the championship will draw as well. I think Unconn game will come close and if it’s South Carolina it will break it because it’s the national championship

Clark is still a huge draw, with or without Reese, but the lack of a rival and "evil opponent" will be anticlimactic.

As long as Caitlin Clark is playing it will be watched ALOT MORE these last two games.

Attendance or viewership? Attendance will be fine. Reaching Iowa/LSU viewership? Probably not.

Last year had way more Iowa fans than LSU fans in Dallas. But I have heard from some people that getting to and staying Cleveland has been a bit of a hassle since they are in totality for the eclipse on Monday so some flights and rooms are harder to come by especially for the Sunday championship game.

Clark has been the biggest thing in college basketball all year. It’s not slowing down until she’s done.

Clark vs SC, if it goes that way, will get big viewership. Might not break records, but with with UCONN, SC and Iowa/Clark, the final four ratings will not suffer.

My wife and I were there. That isn't my recollection.

The TV numbers will be lower without LSU. It is just a fact LSU moves the needle.

People like a story, and "characters" within them.

Both LSU-Iowa games had a "good vs evil" media spin on them with great players like Reese and Clark to watch, and then adding in the flamboyance of Mulkey.

This is why any sport can skyrocket in an instance and get people excited.

I never watch MLS soccer but I watched (and only watched) Messi's first game in Miami.

I'm not a big golf fan but the time they teamed up Bryson DeChambeau and Brooks Koepka after their spat, I tuned in.

A story can make anything interesting. Point being, you won't see numbers like this for NCCAW basketball again until there's a story that excites people.

Definitely not. They are trying to drum up interest by reporting that Geno didn't recruit Clarke and he chose Buekers over her. There was no need for a fake beef in the Elite 8.

If Iowa and SC both make it then it'll break viewership records.

I don't think the Friday night games will shatter any records but if it's Iowa on Sunday afternoon, it will draw big numbers especially against South Carolina

i was there too. LSU fans were outnumbered by a LOT. probably 4:1 by Iowa fans. and probably 6:1 by people pulling for Iowa

No it won’t. SC is not the draw they think they are

Won’t come close

The storyline and media bs is what made that happen

Iowa/sc has no storyline and the media aren’t portraying them as enemies
